Seems doubtful. I don't think the song "Henry the 8th" was written until the 20th century. I'll head to the library this afternoon to research it.

Brilliant casting of Lenny and Carl as Lewis and Clark. Do you think they thought of the similarity in names before or after they wrote it?

No...nice reference to the actual book.

Wow..I had no idea it was an actual book. I had just thought of it as being a joke in Family Guy:

Peter: [at a bookstore] “Yeah uh, I’m looking for toilet training books.”
Clerk: “Oh, yes, we can help you there. Uh, Everybody Poops is still the standard, of course, we’ve also got the less popular Nobody Poops but You.
Peter: “Huh, well, see, we’re Catholic so, uh...”
Clerk: Oh, then you want You’re a Naughty Child and That’s Concentrated Evil Coming out the Back of You.”
Peter: “Perfect!”
I imagine I'll have to learn about these things at some point in the future when I have kids.

My favorite line in the entire episode. I laughed pretty damn hard. This show has really been good this season.

It was pretty funny, but why Ron Santo?? Just seemed like a bad target since he's such a likeable guy. LOTS of other players (even Cubs players) that would've been better to take a shot like that at...

Overall though a very good episode...

I missed the first 2/3 of this episode. Were there any Falco references in it? Episode in Vienna seemed ripe for it.

Yeah, it is a little harsh to go after the guy when he's had both legs amputated and other misc. health problems recently.

Nah, no Falco references. Probably because they already had used "Rock Me Amadeus" (sort of) for Troy McClure's Planet of the Apes musical.

The other two segments were also historically inaccurate, which should have been blatantly obvious. I just hope no one is going to write a history paper based on this episode.

Alphabetically speaking, Santo would be closest to Sacajawea. Matt Groening BTW is a White Sox fan, even though I know he's not involved much with the Simpsons these days.

Probably the same person who would write letters to movies.

I'm laughing just thinking about Homer singing the song from Animal House...

"Animal House, house, house..."
