So far we have Prince come out to do some classic tunes and Beyonce ruins that. Then we have Sting with a classic, and we have another flash in the pan rapper come out and ruin that one too.

I'm afraid to stay up to watch the Foo fighters as Justin timberlake comes out to ruin that.

Actually, it appears that not only her handheld mic was bad, but her earphone monitors were not producing any sound so that she could hear herself. I assume this because she then removed the earpieces so that she could do her best to monitor her voice without electronic aid.

Did anyone notice Sting's face at the end of that performance? He was quite mad...

Does CA go out of her way to make herself unattractive or what?

My guess: Britney looks somewhat attractive trashy, so Christina takes the opposite route.

I actually never think she looks THAT bad...

...but I dig that glamtrash look so it's just me.

When Christina first got up out of her chair and started towards the stairs, I think we saw a flash of nipple action.

She looked so awful with that ugly hairdo and all that street-walker makeup.

And since when did she and Quentin Tarantino turn black? They both sounded like they're from South Central. I don't ever remember hearing them talk that way before. How sad. Talk about needing to be accepted.

Only performance worth watching so far, IMO.

At least the show is keeping rap/hip hop to a minimum this year. It's been almost 90 minutes, and just a scant trace of it. Although I am looking forward to seeing Outkast performing.

Can you really blame Quentin? He's been hanging with The RZA for the entire production of Kill Bill. It rubs off on him very easy. Look at some of the interviews on the Jackie Brown disc.

Why is that a good thing? They've only had one rock band on so far too.

It was kind of ironic that she was singing the song "Beautiful" while looking like a two dollar whore.

BTW, lay off the tanning lotion there Christina...you're turning a weird shade of orange.

Yes. I don't care for too many current musicians (bring back the 70s and 80s!), but that performance by the White Stripes makes me wanna go out and buy their CD. Terrific, intense and, considering the mediocrity of current musicians' performances, it's about time!
