I'm definatly picking up the Outkast disc after tonight
|
Remember that song Outkast did a few years back? It was about Rosa Parks. Great song! A few more and they're gonna have one helluva greatest hits compilation in a few years.
|
Originally posted by Tarnower I wish I could just buy a CD Single for "Hey Ya." I don't wanna buy a double-CD for just that and "The Way You Move." I looked on Amazon, and there is an out-of-stock/print CD Single of the song, and also has the music video. Forgot how much, but it wasn't too high. |
Originally posted by Rogue588 I don't remember what he was wearing, but he was one of the lead singers. He had the high voice/falsetto. Maurice White was the other lead. |

Take that stupid hat off Billy Bob
|
Nice tribute to Warren Zevon.
Could they have picked a worse clip for Johnny and June Cash? I mean, cmon! |
OutKast already has a greatest hits comp. It came out last year, I believe.
This Zevon tribute is really good. |
Great tribute, but Billy Bob looks the homeless guy who won a contest to be there
|
No love for Slim Paolo? Disappointing...

and another commercial break. -ohbfrank-

Originally posted by shaun3000 Who was that in the cowboy hat at the far right? Kind of an odd tribute, actually. Why not have them sing a few Zevon songs instead of serving as backup singers to a recording? |
Thanks, I couldn't think of his name. And I wasn't sure if it was him or Neil Young. He looked a little to dressed up for Neil, though. hehe

I don't know about all ya'll, but I suddenly really want a Sloppy Joe... those looked good...

I think this is one of the better Grammy telecasts in quite some time. I was afraid it was gonna turn into a rap/hip hop-themed night. Considering how many of the major categories were dominated by rappers and hippity hoppers. It's been a nice balance of everything. The rap and hip hop that has been on has been fairly reined-in and not as grating as I usually find it. Good show for that aspect alone.
