Yeah, I think I'll break down and buy the whole Outkast CD. While I'm at Best Buy, I will also pick up The White Stripes' new one. It's called "Elephant," right?

mikewendt 02-08-04 09:53 PM

I'm definatly picking up the Outkast disc after tonight

Tarnower 02-08-04 09:54 PM

Remember that song Outkast did a few years back? It was about Rosa Parks. Great song! A few more and they're gonna have one helluva greatest hits compilation in a few years.

That single was actually released a couple weeks before (sometime in August) the double CD was released. I forget where I picked it up.

I thought that was him, but he seems to have gotten kind of "chunky".

Take that stupid hat off Billy Bob

shaun3000 02-08-04 09:57 PM

Nice tribute to Warren Zevon.

Could they have picked a worse clip for Johnny and June Cash? I mean, cmon!

DGibFen 02-08-04 09:57 PM

OutKast already has a greatest hits comp. It came out last year, I believe.

This Zevon tribute is really good.

mikewendt 02-08-04 09:58 PM

Great tribute, but Billy Bob looks the homeless guy who won a contest to be there

Hokeyboy 02-08-04 09:58 PM

No love for Slim Paolo? Disappointing...

B.A. 02-08-04 09:59 PM

Kind of an odd tribute, actually. Why not have them sing a few Zevon songs instead of serving as backup singers to a recording?

shaun3000 02-08-04 10:01 PM

Thanks, I couldn't think of his name. And I wasn't sure if it was him or Neil Young. He looked a little to dressed up for Neil, though. hehe

Hokeyboy 02-08-04 10:02 PM

I don't know about all ya'll, but I suddenly really want a Sloppy Joe... those looked good...

shaun3000 02-08-04 10:02 PM

I think this is one of the better Grammy telecasts in quite some time. I was afraid it was gonna turn into a rap/hip hop-themed night. Considering how many of the major categories were dominated by rappers and hippity hoppers. It's been a nice balance of everything. The rap and hip hop that has been on has been fairly reined-in and not as grating as I usually find it. Good show for that aspect alone.
