Cordy, considering she's one of the original cast of Buffy, I think got a fitting emotional sendoff. I sincerely hope we don't see her again - that would lessen the impact of this episode.

I don't think we've seen the end of Lindsey - I predict he'll be the next liason to the 'senior partners.' But I wish Eve would come back too.

Next week - God, I hope its a standalone episode....

Beyond that - is there going to be another 'Big Bad' for the season? The Lindsey thing seems to have resolved itself surprisingly quickly.

I'm kind of surprised Angel and company let her go. It's like asking for more trouble in the future- a better idea would have been to throw her into suspended animation of something in a WH basement. Totally out of character with the crew.

Only weak part of a great episode.

Spoiler:
They're gonna have Fred get "possessed" by a demon and be a big-bad for a few episodes - Yes, they already did that just last year on Angel, and the year before on Buffy - M.E. is running out of ideas.

Cool episode. Nice little sendoff for Cordy. I like the goodbye between her and Angel.

I liked Harmony's lines.

"Harmony, you can stop torturing her. She's talking"
"She is? oh ."

So how come the senior partners aren't going to do something to Eve?

Sad ending. All of Angel's original cast is dead now. Who's next- Wesley?

I would say that Angel is still alive, but he never was, in all honesty.

I agree that bringing back Cordy would be dumb unless it's for a series finale or so. Let her R.I.P.

Yeah, presumably so. Elizabeth Rohm bailed before she got locked in Wesley's closet with a bucket to poop and pee in.

Elizabeth Rohm will never be back.

Wesley, I would consider him to be an original teammate of Angel. He came in what, like the 8th episode of S1?

I bet something is going to happen big time w/Lindsey, Eve, Senoir Partners, and Connor.

Why..? His existance would be meaningless now that Cordy is dead.

Did anyone else feel that Cordy's presence totally ENERGIZED what has been so far lackluster characters this season? CC played it much better than any of the other actors who seem more like sketches than real characters. She was MILES better than anyone else in the episode. It hurt me to realize how much I enjoyed the Cordelia character and how much her absence has affected the show and then have it all ripped away at the last moment.

I hope that Angel & Co ARE back on track. The only storyline right now that remotely interests me is the one regarding Wesley's cyborg father that hasn't been followed up....

Let's get some arcs into action!

I didn't get to see the episode until last night, and I was stunned by the ending. I should have seen it coming - it was very much like The Sixth Sense in reverse (she knew she was dead, no one else did), and there were some clues given (I thought pulling the curtain around the "other patient's bed" was a little odd at the time - like they wanted you to notice it).

It was great having Cordelia back, and you can count me in the group that says that the show works MUCH better WITH her than without her. Charisma Carpenter is a fantastic TV actress, and she helped that character to grow just as much as the writers did. She does bring a higher energy level to the show than just about anyone else, and that will be missed. I would equate Cordelia on Angel to Giles on Buffy - the show just doesn't quite work as well without her (just like Buffy noticeably seemed to be missing something when Giles was gone).

I don't want them to cheapen the ending of this episode by bringing her back as a guest on a whim as a "spirit" or ghost - but an appearance at the end of the story arc of the last season of Angel would be nice.

Episode 100 lived up to the hype, and maybe even surpassed it. How often does that happen?

Here's hoping that the writers stay focused and inspired for the rest of the season...

Finally saw the episode.

I thought it was good up until the end. Then I thought it was great.

Everything you guys said is right about Cordy, the last 2 seasons have been drastically differnet without her. The original characters on Angel are all my favorites still today. Doyle, Wes, and Cordy. It seems though that the emphasis is even away from Wesley.

This show felt very "Old School" as Wesley put it. It was good. Very good.

Oh and did anyone else notice Gunn seemed not so much a lawyer towards the end of the episode? He was saying he would rather be fighting than up in the office.

Old School Gunn kickin' it with Old School Wesley would be a nice sight.

Man, I hope that the local WB station doesn't keep doing this with the basketball. They didn't show Angel on wednesday because of a basketball game. They said they'd be showing it on saturday at 5 PM. Saturday rolls around and all they're showing at 5 is that standup at the Apollow show.

Thank goodness for the internet.

What the hell is up with that? I set the Tivo to record at 5 and even padded for an extra hour beacuse the Basketball game always runs long. Doew anyone know if they're planning on running the episode in the Baltimore area? I can't stand watching downloaded episodes on my computer.

Well nevermind. Looks like it was on last night and I missed it. ....From WB website:
Due to the basketball game on 2/4/04, the episode of Angel scheduled to air on that day have been moved to 2/7/04 from 10:00-11:00 PM on WNUV WB-54.
Due to the basketball game on 3/3/04, the episode of Angel scheduled to air on that day have been moved to 3/6/04 from 10:00-11:00 PM on WNUV WB-54.

Great ep - an even better ending than I expected, though I did think she was dead the minute she pulled the curtain in the hospital room. Great sendoff for Cordy - it was great to see Charisma back on the show, even if it was just for an hour.

I was surprised how quickly Angel and Co. dispatched Lindsey - he has to come back sometime, that was just too quick.

I also enjoyed Harmony's torture of Eve - too funny.

The ending.

Same here. I set the (old-school) vcr to tape for two hours in case the basketball game went over. But when I went to watch the tape, instead of Angel, I got Showtime at The Apollo.

I've been reading these posts to see what happened. Looks like I missed a good one.

Has she for sure stated that she'll never return? I know she's a regular on Law and Order, but that shouldn't keep her from doing a guest shot if they ever were able to write her in for one.

I always really liked the character of Kate Lockley and I wish they would have given her a better resolution. She just kinda disappears after beginning to believe in Angel and his cause.

Just to give a head's up... here are some pictures from the 2-18-04 episode of Angel, called "Smile Time."

If you don't know what it's about,
Spoiler:
it involves a childrens' television show with the requisite evil doings going on. In the process, Angel is turned into a puppet.

And here are the pictures (spoilers unless you know what the episode is about):

Looks like it's going to be a hoot.
