Yes. I remember her giving him a strange look and I thought he said something about her working for/with him.

I thought that was because she was the "contact" for him... she was the one they'd said had brokered the deal between the government and Sloan, the pardon or whatever, and as such, she was his official liason or something... he was making a crack about how it was "working with" Lauren, but he means as his contact at the CIA, that's all I took that as.

The main theme of this show is deceptive women. If Alias has taught us nothing else, it has shown how easily men are duped by women willing to put out...or even if they're just hot.

You have female spies, women who marry men to spy on them, and in Vaughn's case, probably to keep him from looking deeper into Sydney's disappearance. And if you look, the only three women who were noble, or at least not living double lives on their own account (Sloane's wife, Dixon's wife, Francie) all ended up dead.

It's an interesting theme to have, but it also made this "twist" all the more predictable....
I agree, after they revealed this, I was like, DOH, I SHOULD have seen this coming! I mean really, it's 1)obvious rip-off of Irena marrying Jack back when she was a Soviet spy and 2)they HAVE to open the door for Syd and Vaughn to get back together!

You'd think if you were a high-level CIA spy, you'd be more careful who you marry...

Well aside from some parental issues Sark has, we don't know exactly why Lazarey was killed just yet. I'm guessing to prevent him from giving Sydney any more information about Rembaldi.
Actually, I think we do: he was trying to tell Syd about something just before he died, remember? He kept asking if she knew about "the Passenger", if she had found "the Passenger", something like that, and I'm guessing that that has something to do with Sark and/or Lauren... makes sense that Sark was aware that Lazarey knew something about that secret "Passenger" (maybe the Covenant's code for their CIA mole, Lauren?)), and Sark would've had to have Lazarey killed before Lazarey told Syd anything.

As an aside, total recall back to the moment when Syd and Will were meeting Lazarey in the warehouse or whatever, and L. was like, "Have they found it?" and it was about that box...

You're right, Jack was nowhere to be seen. And you'd think in the episode where you finally find out about Sydney's past and what the Rimbaldi DNA was going to be used for Sloan would have popped up somewhere as well.
Oh I COMPLETELY agree! I was just WAITING for the reveal on Sloane... remember we still don't know what the big deal was with the paper he read that supposedly changed everything (that the monk or whatever gave him), we don't know much about the final Rambaldi device he put together... we have Rambaldi being reborn via Syd, and somehow Sloane is not involved? Please.

I'm pretty sure they are showing a rerun tomorrow (Season 3, Episode 3: Reunion). The new episode should air on Feb. 15.

No new Alias tomorrow. Rerun like Phuzbox said. Have to wait til Feb. 15 to see the next new episode.

According to ABCMedianet, Feb 22 also has an Alias episode, though we don't know if it's new, but since it's Feb. sweeps, there should be another new episode on the 22nd.
