Randi seem like a spoiled little dip to me. If she is that fukking stressed out about the situation....quit!

If her family is that judgmental....they deserve to be shaken up a little.......

Sorry for the Buffy spoiler, I've gone back and added spoilers.

I have expected viewers of Angel to be familiar with the spoiler and thus my cut-n-paste reflected that. Again, mea culpa.

The money is what is keeping Randi from bolting from the situation. She is, after all, a 1st grade teacher, and we all know teachers don't make a lot of dough...

I watched this last night. I'm a sucker for reality shows and this one certainly delivered the funny.

Then she should quit acting like a cry-baby, really get into it and play the part to the hilt!!

Criminy. Honestly, if it wasn't for DVDs and TLC/Discovery/BBC, I'd sell my TV.

No problem. I'm watching Buffy and Angel both on DVD, so I recognize that I'm a few years behind the curve, and if I hang out on the internet (particularly TV forums), I'm likely to see spoilers. No big deal.

I normally can't stand reality TV -- the only other one I watched regularly was Last Comic Standing (unless you count That's Incredible!) -- but this one looked funny, and it lived up to that promise.

I heard the other day she may loose her job because of the show. I think she was at a Private School.

If anybody should lose their job, it's YOUR 1st grade teacher.

I watched the encore presentation of the first episode last night. I thought it was really entertaining the first time I saw it on Monday.

Did they said why she would loose her job? I don't see what's the big deal about her appearing in a reality tv show that's so controversial.

Can someone explain this show to me... I missed the first 30 minutes...

All she has to do is convince her family she is marrying this guy..?? Whats so hard about that? I don't care how obnoxious he is... Seems pretty easy. I would do anything for a million dollars.

I also have to ask.. DOES SHE REALLY NEED THE MILLION? Did you see that house her parents live in? Her family must be loaded?

The family/friends can't object to the union at all, or the deal is off. She has to totally convince them that Steven is the man of her dreams (although Steven will be doing gross, nasty, obnoxious things to prove otherwise). She can't tell her family/friends about the agreement either or the deal is off.

Why would anyone object to the marriage . At most maybe they have their doubts. But why would anyone object to the point that they wouldn't respect her wishes. Are they going to disown her..

I still want to know why she needs a million dollars.

Spoiler for a future episode, although it was something shown on the first episode:
Spoiler:
Randi's dad objects. I don't know if this actually disqualifies her for the money or not, since the game was fixed from the beginning.

Who doesn't "need" a million dollars?

Again, we haven't seen how much of a slimeball Steven presents himself as to the family, so Randi's got her work cut out for her.
