Actor Steven Schirripa was on The Imus Show this morning and confirmed they are currently filming 23 episodes...13 for Season 5, which starts in March of 2004, and 10 more for a Season Six that will air (presumingly) either in the fall of 2004 or early 2005!

He also confirmed that this will complete the series, although he doesn't know yet if David Chase plans to do a theatrical film featuring the characters.

Yeah, I thought Chase said he realized he couldn't get all the plot points he needed to cover in only 13 episodes so...

Will there be full frontal Gandolfini this season?

I've waited patiently. I think I deserve a "climax" - so to speak.

It wasn't officially confirmed until recently...David Chase just confrimed it with his cast a few weeks ago, according to Schirripa...hence, the repost.

Also, Season 6 is shooting NOW, not at a later date.
