Cold Case 11/30/03

That was a very sad episode, everything about it. I did enjoy the episode, not as much as the one from a couple of weeks ago with the track stars.

But a good show, not great but something to watch on sunday night.

The worst thing about it though is having moved back to the east coast it gets delayed by football.

We even got a little backstory on Lily and she didn't have a happy childhood either, it might explain her drive in closing these cold cases.

Yup waterworks were being held back.

Although there is amazingly enough always a backstory with every cop.

what is the deal with the 'new partner'

Yeah, I really don't like him. I don't love the show, but I was getting into it with my fiancee (who loves it) and then this schmuck partner shows up and brings nothing to the show, so far.

Show looks great, though.

Yup, one of the only new shows I'm still watching. Good stuff, though personally, I could do without the (forced-feeling) backstory. It felt like Marge Helgenberger's relentless sob stories about how she used to "dance" on CSI.

As for the endings 1-2 emotional punch, not much else on TV can be that stirring.

Anyone know what the name of this episode was? I missed it because of the football game and want to make sure I see it if it is rerun.

I agree that the partner so far hasn't added much...maybe that will change...I was just surprised he wasn't a jackass like I thought he would be in the beginning. I agree with balancer that Lilly's backstory seemed somewhat forced and just came off annoying...still a wonderful show!

Backstorys always are though.

In Boomtown Andrea the reporter her dad was an alcoholic.
Balancer mentions CSI as another example.

Its part of the formula I guess.
