Episode Title: "Carpenter Street"

Temporal agent Daniels sends Archer and T'Pol through time to learn what three Xindi-Reptilians are doing in Detroit, Michigan, in 2004.
Written By: Rick Berman & Brannon Braga
Directed By: Mike Vejar

Our first B&B script in quite some time. We all know what that means.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well I know it's not nice to critique an episode before watching it but I usually don't care for the "let's go back in time episodes." DS9 did it well, Voyager not so much. You add the fact that B&B wrote it and I'm depressed already. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised but I wouldn't bet the DVD collection on it.

Oh boy, more hokey dialog about how "primitive" and "dangerous" old earth was. Goody.

You know, over the years, my beloved home town has had to deal with some serious black eyes:

- The '67 Riots
- White Flight
- The Devil's Night Fires
- Police Shootings
- The '03 Detroit Tigers

- And now, potentially, the worst of them all. Being associated with Enterprise.

Hope it doesn't cost us the '06 Super Bowl.

I guess they were running over budget when they came up with this script.

All the extra cash they had to give T'Pol for slutting it up this season kinda ate up the budget.

Just finished watching the episode tonight and thought it was alright.. I liked the scene when they went to the Burgerland drive thru.. really hilarious.

One problem about this episode. According to the guy from the 30th century this new time line of the Xinda destroying Earth has not reached them in the future so they have no clue what the outcome is yet. So how on Earth do they know if there were Xinda that travelled in the past if the present timeline did not even reached them yet?

they could make 20th century clothes from scratch but couldn't make some money?
overall it wasn't too bad though

I'm sure someone will come up with a more technical description that takes into account all the nuances of time travel, but the short answer is B&B are making this shit up as they go along.

There was no reason this story was set in the past. With a couple of line changes, it could have easily taken place on any planet.

I was hoping that Bando and a coupla others who don’t watch would have already posted their thoughts on this one. I was in Vegas playing a Hold ‘em tourney whilst this trash was taking up space on my Tivo.

All I need to know is B&B and time travel to know this ep will achieve the mediocre standard they have set for themselves.

I’m hoping to join the nonwatchers. And a week as a nonsmoker. I’m not sure which is gonna be harder: as you drive past a car wreck, it’s easy not to light up but hard not to look.

Well, that was pretty much the dullest episode of Enterprise all season.

I actually watched this one. Not complete suck, although I am a little lost at this point because I've missed all but one episode since the beginning of the season.

I bet the complete divergence from what we previously knew as Federation history will be explained away at the end of the series as an altered timeline which Archer prevented, thereby bringing things back on track to what went one just prior to TOS.

Bah.

Bah.
At which point it won’t have mattered who shot J.R., n’est çe pas?

Humbug.

I managed to delete this from my Tivo without watching it. Found myself instantly wanting a cigarette for some reason.

My TIVO was snatching Survivor, and I forgot about Enterprise. I may catch the rerun they rebroadcast on Sunday night.

Sorry my thoughts are so delayed, but I'm just now awaking from the coma induced by watching this episode. Easily the biggest waste of time and possibly the worst episode in the show's run (and that's saying a lot). Stupid.

i'm assuming this will lead to more stuff. its just the intro into another story line. it didn't suck as bad as some of you make it out. although, the whole story could have been told in 30 minutes and didnt need to be stretched out.

i thought the burgerland scene was stupid

I just finished watching the episode and I have to agree. Man this episode was boring! The whole 40+ minutes just dragged along at a snail's pace. I'm glad next week is a rerun so I can recover.
Just further proof that B&B should not be allowed anywhere near a script.
