Overall, a difficult episode because of all the connections between many of the principal characters and someone they care about comes to a head, inflicting a lot of pain and heartache.
You have the looming backdrop of Vietnam, and the impending dread of what will happen to JJ and whether he makes it back home in one piece and if he'll be psychologically scarred for life.
Jack did right by his son by reading Beth the riot act.
Henry doesn't know how to communicate with Sam, and having his only son become interested in Malcom X is just icing on the cake.

Yep - that scene with Jack and Beth was great.

I've always said the best part of this show is the Henry/Sam/Nathan dynamic. Last night was no exception.

Isn't anyone watching this show? It's one of my favorites. I definitely agree Red Dog about Sam/Nathan/Henry. All great characters.
I agree with JJ, Drew is an ass. Meg could do a lot better.
Also, don't mess with Thrill.

I believe Rox got her nose fixed in the off-season as well. It was way more pronounced in a side profile last season than it is this season. It almost robs her "look" like it did when Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing) got her nose done and no one recognized her afterwards.
