Hunter was on the Marquesas edition, where Vecepia won the game. Hunter was like Burton in physical condition/strength but his tribe sucked and they decided to boot him to the curb before the merge because they feared him winning individual immunity after the merge.

From Canoe.ca:
In more serious 'Survivor' news, Carla Morasca, the mother of 'Survivor: The Amazon' winner Jenna Morasca died on November 19th at the age of 48. In the series, Jenna had mentioned her mother's battle with cancer several times. Morasca has been listed by several sites as a participant on the 'Survivor All-Stars' edition which began filming during the week of November 3rd in the Pearl Islands of Panama. The Morasca family is suggesting that memorial donations be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
In one of the online forums on 'Survivor Sucks', 'Survivor: The Amazon' contestant Deena Bennett wrote a tribute to Carla Morasca.
"I had the great pleasure of meeting this remarkable woman, Carla. Even when sick, she seemed full of life. It took every ounce of energy she had to make it to that finale, to watch her child win the million dollars. Jenna never played this game for fame or fortune, she did it for her Mom. My prayers go out to Jenna and her father in their time of grief. I, for one, am proud to say that the child that Carla M. passed all her hopes and dreams to, will be my friend for life," wrote Bennett.
My question is that why did Jenna once again leave a sick mother in order to go back to Survivor? If it was me, and I had won the money the first time, I don't think that I would have been able to leave my sick mother once again. I guess we don't really know the situation, but it seems odd to me..

That is why I said:
<spoiler>Probst said that it was not confessed in a confessional, and that he and the crew did not know that it was a lie either. Anyway apparently earlier reports were incorrect and he does tell all during a confessional</spoiler>

OMG!!!! Jon is by far the scummiest person EVER!!!! What an *******! It was embarrasing to watch him lie and his idiot friend not understanding...you can tell that Probst does NOT believe him and Sandra doesn't either (props for chucking the fish, too!)...I'm so cheering for her right now!

Well since it was said it did not affect the outcome of the game I assume that John is not the winner and gets voted off at some point.

I can't decide if Jon is the smartest Survivor or not. It was a crappy thing to do, but in the game it was an interesting move. Is he hoping to get more out of it? I would imagine so, but I don't know how much he can get out of it. Or did he just wanted to spend some time with his wrestling buddy?

wow probst kept his cool even after he blew it.
they must have a backup game for just such a thing.
he came up with that quick.

Morons... that is all I can say....... they (T and Sandra) over hear jon and Burton plotting and they let Jon talk them (Sandra and Christa) in to changing there votes!!

As long as he isn't using the WOO for his own wrestling character, I'm now on his side. It was a horrible thing to do, absolutely horrible and wrong in every way ... but that's the point of the game. It's about lying and cheating and backstabbing your way to the top. Granted, this takes it to another level (by bringing outside elements in) ... and again, it's just so damn wrong ... but God, it's so devious I can't help but root for him now. Time and time again, they say, "you can't trust Johnny Fairply ... I'll NEVER trust him," and yet he found a way to dupe them again ... what a great villain.
das
P.S. I loved how his friend flashed the FOUR as he left ... WOOOOOOOO!

I guess I have to go for Sandra now. I've always disliked Jon, I don't think Burton or Lil should be in it, Darrah is just there. Christa I guess I don't mind.
But god, are those two girls just stupid to side with Jon and Burton yet again.

I thought the way Sandra was looking at John that she wasn't totally buying his story about his grandma passing. Of course I don't think she could ever have had voiced her opinion then, due to the possibility of it actually being true, so it should be interesting to hear what she has to say about it at the reunion show, along with throwing the fish out and letting Christa take the blame for it.
There sure was alot of scheming going on tonight. I just loved the way Sandra surreptitously tailed J and B and listened in on their converstation. I totally thought Burton was a goner but T couldn't keep her mouth shut and had to reveal her plans to Jon who then got Sandra and Trista to turn on T. I just hope by trusting Jon that it won't come back to haunt Sandra and Christa for I really would like to see those two get to the final three.

The way things unravelled was pretty damn stupid. And it goes in the books as one of those "WTF were they thinking?" moments in Survivor history.
I still can't fathom how 5 women (hell, 4 would have been enough) couldn't come together and boot out Burton when they had the chance. If none of the women win this game, they have no one to blame but themselves.
I had a hard time stomaching Jon and his "acting". I guess some people really would sell their grandmother down the river to get 3 more days on the island.

Jon's acting was alright at times, and awful at times. He was totally unbelievable at first when he said "Dude how's my Grandma" (or whatever his exact words were). Also, when he said that it was the happiest day of his life...
...but I still thought it was a great move. Horrible, but great. Deceit is what the whole game is about.

I join the others that are just utterly perplexed by Sandra and Christa tonight. Why, why, why did you pass the chance to get rid of Burton AND break up 2 strong alliances (Burton/Jon and Burton/Lill)? I am rooting for either Burton or Darrah at this point, although I wouldn't mind if Christa or even Jon win (anybody but Sandra or Lill, please). I don't think Burton would get many jury votes with the way he led the rebellion against Rupert and so strongly accused Sandra and Christa of lying tonight. Jon is annoying and an all-around despicable guy, but he is a smart player most of the time. Darrah is deceptively strong. I admire her toughness. Christa seems like a whiney baby. Burton is by far the strongest physically, but the strongest rarely wins this game. Lill is weak and weird. She doesn't deserve to win at all. The best way I can describe Sandra is loud-mouthed b*tch. Sandra tells everyone Jon can't be trusted while she turns right around and stabs Tijuana in the back. That was low.
