The Pretender DVD

The pretender was a great series. Anybody hear anything about a dvd release. I think the show had a three or four season run.

It's coming out in France on December 2. Assuming the country doesn't surrender to anyone by then, sales results will likely affect its potential as a US release. I suspect it won't be too difficult, though, since The Pretender performed very well in a recent TV to DVD poll conducted by Fox.

Back when I saw the voting, Pretender was way ahead of any other show on the poll. A good thing, too, since it was a great series.

Seeing as Profiler has been released on DVD, it only makes sense to have The Pretender as well, since the shows crossed over a couple times.

As for sales in France, they should be great. I saw pics from some "Pretender Convention" out there that managed to get Michael T Weiss and Andrea Parker to attend. If they can have a convention devoted to the show and get the two big names to appear, it's gotta be huge there.

Also wasn't there supposed to be three Pretender TV movies? There have been two so far. I thought there was going to be one more. Anyone know anything about that?

A definate buy for me... I loved this series.

It's doing quite well in syndication, and I've only seen the first of the three movies, I missed #2... oh well.

I asked Richard Marcus (Dr. Raines) when I met him last fall, and he said that no one's approached him for a 3rd movie, but he would love to do one.

Well, when it comes to the movies, you didn't miss much in the second one. It's funny, they advertised that the movies would "fill in all the holes" that had been built up over the years. Instead, they just twisted things up even more--which it really didn't need.

Still, I'd watch another movie.
