I totally agree.

I'm not as big a fan as many, and the discs are not on my buy list as yet, but a cliffhanger wouldn't stop me from buying. Not in this case.

Oh. My. God. I'm in shock. Shock I tell you. I seriously thought my boyfriend was playing a cruel joke on me when he said "oh, by the way, I think I heard somewhere that farscape might have a miniseries". I of course raced over here to find out what is going on - and what happy news! Of course, it's still a travesty that we won't get a full season, but at this point the fact that we get something, and that that something isn't anime, comic, or animated, but in fact has our beloved cast returning...well, that's cause for joy.

And since it's being made separate from the hated-channel, I'm thrilled. No chance for them to screw it all up.

I can seriously hardly wait for the miniseries to air. YAY!

If this airs commercial free on Showtime or HBO, I think I might overdose on joy.

i dont think hbo or showtime will happen but ya never know i guess. while it looks like its a mini-series if the ratings are high enough for it when it airs, i wouldn't rule out another season being green lit or a feature film.

I don't think it will happen either, but a guy can hope.

I actually haven't seen an ep of Farscape yet, but I'm surprised more people aren't ecstatic over this part.

More info from TVGuide.com

SO NEAR, SO FARSCAPE: Frellin' awesome!! As reported in next week's TV Guide magazine, the Jim Henson Company is producing a four-hour Farscape miniseries that will tie up the loose ends left dangling when the cult hit was prematurely axed last year by Sci Fi Channel. "It's an epic conclusion to the series," confides a source. The project — which will reunite leads Ben Browder and Claudia Black — will start shooting in December in Australia. Since the telefilm is unlikely to air on Sci Fi, word is it may be sold into syndication. So there!
Gotta say...i'm glad, but disappointed.

I really didn't expect a full season - that takes too much commitment from all parties. But I'm sure that they'll leave themselves a window open to use, just in case the miniseries does really well.

Perhaps direct to video releases would be more profitable..?

Surely USA or TNT(or another Turner network) would be interested in this, hell if nothing else WB or UPN should jump all over this. Or to keep in tone with Derrich, HGTV should pick this up.

It has.

Sci-Fi is now USA.

I thought USA had a huge shake up, guess it was just wishful thinking.
