The only time I laughed was during the third segment, with Homer and the donuts, as other people have posted.

Overall, I think it was kind of disappointing.

Football delayed the Simpsons. My ReplayTV recorded half of it and I watched only the first segment with Homer killing the Grim Reaper. Somewhat funny. Missing the scariness and eeriness of earlier Halloween specials though.

Fox could at least schedule it before Halloween.

They did make fun of the fact it's playing in November at the start of the show.

I believe this is at least the 2nd "Benny Hill" chase, and IIRC the other time was a Treehouse special too.

I also agrre about the Aliens Halloween, this is November, we already have our Christmas decorations out" part was about the funniest line in the whole episode.

I think they scheduled the previous TOH in November too. It's like airing Rudolph in January. Really out of place.

Never watched Family Guy so the 'rip-off' was new to me. I liked parts 1 & 3. Could care less about Frink so I didn't care about his story.

They've scheduled the previous several year's in November. Do those morons at Fox even have calendars? At least this year's episode poked fun at this fact.

"Stupid TV! Be more funny!"

I can imagine the writers in one of their idea sessions. Yeah, throw in one of those Benny Hill chase scenes. That'll kill about twenty seconds. And what about a bit that has Homer screaming alot. Homer screaming funny.

They're just not even trying anymore.

Stupid football. Can anyone tell me what happened after the watch broke in the third part? I'm just going to have to start recording from 7 to like 10 on Sunday nights, I guess.

I agree Kang & KOdos complaining about a Halloween episode in November was the funniest bit.

Anyone else find it interesting that a FOX (owned by News Corp) show had 2 TV Guide (owned by News Corp) references/"advertisements" in the same episode?

Uh, guys. The "you killed death now you have to become death" story has been around a LOT longer than "Family Guy."

Other than that, I agree with the general consensus. Pretty weak episode, with the exception of the Kang and Kodos bit.

I look forward to the return of Homer's mom next week.

Homer walking through the crowd made us laugh, even if it was in the previews. The disappearing donuts was great. When we watched the credits, my wife said, "That was Jerry Lewis? No wonder it wasn't funny."

The first time they used a Benny Hill chase, it was funny. It was set up with the comment, "You Americans can't appreciate sophisticated British humor." This time it was just dumb.

Funny, cuz baseball ended, what, 2 weeks ago? Even if every playoff game and the world series went to 7 games, there would be time to air this before Halloween. Don't blame baseball: blame Fox.

I liked it. Thought the Death story was a bit better than the family guy take (this is coming from a big Family Guy fan)

Am I the only one that thinks Jennifer Garner looks better as a cartoon than I real life?

I did get a laugh at what is happening in Kodos and Kang's X-mas decorations though.

Baseball ended one week ago. This was the first Sunday that there would definitely be no baseball game. They could've put it on last Sunday, but nobody knew until the night before if there was going to be a 7th game or not. So yeah, blame baseball if it bothers you.

I blame Canada and baseball both. Ah, forget it.

I didn't love this new simpsons treehouse episode but it was alright. I dont expect much so whenver there's something funny I'm satisfied. The flanders line about running against homosexuality made me laugh.

Not to get into an argument about it, but since when can a network not show a show on a different day than it's normally scheduled? FOX could have shown the episode any day last week. It's definitely FOX's fault.

Didn't really like it ... what happened to the writing on this show the last few seasons?

Benny Hill gag, not funny.

Was it me or was Jennifer Garner AWFUL.

The only time I laughed in the entire episode was when Oscar de la Hoya (one line!) said "Ay Dios Mio! I am loving punching this kid!"
