Getting kind of old. The bets were funny but at times it seemed forced just to get them into the show.

I prefer Kenny to Eli. Eli's mouth just goes on and on.

I think this would only make the 2nd show in a row that they didn't have one. I don't remember exactly what the last one was, but they did have one on the episode with the documentary.

How can you go wrong with an episode that has Professor TJ Teru in it?

This season needs more Warren P. Cheesewiz!!!!! The whole Ed and Carol drama is getting a bit old. I enjoyed the first two episodes, but the last two seem kinda fillerish.

Just now venturing over to the 'TV' forum for the 1st time after being addicted to the main DVD board for many years...

Ed has been the most under-rated show on TV for the past two years. Hopefully NBC will gets its act together and give this show some better promotion. Hopefully the writers and producers can recapture that 'something' that has been missing in the first couple of episodes this season.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned an obvious 'gag' in the casting of Len Cariou as General Stuckey/Barber this week. Len Cariou was the original Sweeney Todd, Demon Barber of Fleet Street, on Broadway some 20 years ago with Angela Lansbury...

Anyone think NBC might move Ed back to Fridays and pair it w/ Missmatch?

I think that would be a better matchup than MissMatch with L&O:SVU, which seems a bit um well...mismatched.

I for one was glad to see Carol shown as a bit of a ho, cheating on her boyfriend with Nick.

I said it before, but this show has great use of color in it. Also, all of the characters always seem to have a halo of light around their heads. Both of these combined makes the show seem more wholesome...

Yeah, an excellent point, movieking. very vivid and brilliant colors...just kinda puts a smile on your face.

also, on the Ed and Carol institution, they've become an argument an episode, 5 min. screentime disaster. there's no more witty conversations, just fighting. annoying.

AND DO BRING BACK THE DAMN BETS!!!

Has Carol ever been witty? Other than the suit of armor, I can't think of anything. I guess that's why so many people wanted Frankie to stick around. I think they have to make Carol do something to get the audience to like her. Whenever there is a conflict they make Ed into a jerk.

You guys have crossed the line.

I don't know if it's due to the fact that i'm a latecomer to this show, but i'm enjoying it.

If this season is subpar as some have suggested on here, i'm eagerly anticipating watching the first 2 3/4 seasons..

You'll notice a big difference. The first season was great. Definitely warrants DVD treatment.

I think the witty conversations are what I miss the most. I wonder if they gave up on them because they thought larger (dumber?) audiences were bored by them.

I remember Mike and Ed having an entire scene in a pie shop (who wants pie?) that was so great. The episode where Kelly Ripa first meets Ed.

Oh, yeah, what we really need is more pie-related storylines.
