Now THAT was friggin' more like it! What a cool episode. Nice recovery after a ho-hum opener.
You'll probably never go wrong sticking McNorris front and center, and this episode was annother winner for Neil McDonough. The scenes with his fathers as well as his "fantasies" were priceless. I'm also digging Vannessa Williams' character. She has potential. I'll continue to lament the lack of non-linear storytelling, but if you're going to make a conventional crime series, that's not a bad way to go.

Haven't watched it yet, but I have a spoiler about Vanessa [since some were bellyaching about her...]

Great hour of television. This show has been treading thin ice with me, but this episode fired on all cylinders. I haven't been this impressed with the show since the very beginning. Let's hope this is the start of a trend.

just watched it.
the only problem I had with it was that it seemed too rushed [and flew by too quickly -- before I knew it, the episode was over]..
other than that...

Doesn't look good for the future

NBC's entire Friday lineup is bombing so maybe it will last the season. It doesn't help with Dateline leading in either.

Despite a bit more competition at 10 p.m., CBS stayed in front with the 6.8/12 for "The Handler." The show suffered the biggest dip of any of CBS' offerings compared with last week, but still stayed just ahead of ABC's "20/20." NBC was third with a 4.6/8 for "Boomtown."

Methinks they should've left SUV & Boomtown in their old slots..

wow, that was awesome. McNorris' mind rants were awesome. Too bad he didn't really say those things. I hope the ratings for this show pick up, or move it to another night. This show is very well written, now they've focused on the strongest characters (McNorris, Joel and Fearless).

The McNorris stuff was good, in particular the daydream sequences.

Hell yes!!! I was finally able to watch it and McDonough kicked ass McNorris. I was loving his daydream rants - if they were on HBO maybe they could have done it a little more like The 25th Hour.Stacy Keach plays the best a$$hole father in the business.
I'm impressed w/ Vanessa Williams, too. She's much better than I thought she would be.
This ep was much better than the premiere, hopefully they can keep it up - and get the ratings up while they are at it. Are they showing the re-runs on Bravo again this season? if not, they should.

Finally saw the ep and I just loved it! McNorris has to be one of the best characters on network TV right now. I was totally thrown the first time he did the running commentary in his head but it was great. I would still like to see more nonlinear storytelling but there isn't much to complain about with this episode.

Yes, she is married to LAKER player Rick Fox, when the season starts she comes back to L.A. with the kids for the whole season.

I think her and her hubby do the bi-coastal relationship thingie or something..
She also said she's in the process of starting to record a new album..

No new info found yet, but the Boomtown website says An upcoming episode has not yet been scheduled. Please check back later.
So that's certainly no t good news. I hope it's just been put on hiatus until something else fails, because killing this show 2 episodes into season 2 would be a huge mistake.

They pulled it.
There's a headline at Variety.com, but I can't access the article. I'm trying to find a complete article right now.

Geez...I had JUST started watching this show this season and really liked it so far. Oh well...I had too many shows that were on my "season pass" list, so I guess it makes it easier to decide which one to pass on

unless they pulled it, they DID show a promo for this week's show..
