he wants to come back to radio and is just waiting for the right time/time slot/station to come back. he didn't want to leave espn, it was more like he was forced to leave.

Slightly off topic of discussing the show, but Kornhesier is coming back to local radio. From http://discuss.washingtonpost.com/wp...lbon051704.htm

When are you going to be back on the radio?

I expect to be on sometime this fall on a local station which I hope you'll be able to hear on the Internet. --Tony

Exactly. ESPN didn't agree with his ideas for what he though a radio show should be (sports wise). He was basically forced out. I heard him mention on PTI a few weeks ago that being off radio is harder than he ever thought it would be. Before leaving his show he made a comment that when doing radio the listener seems to feel that the speaker is talking directly to them where as Television has a different feel. Talk radio is personal and seems to hit him at a personal radio. I believe he was talking to Dan Patrick at the time and even Dan agreed that leaving radio would be much harder than leaving television.

I just don't think that Jason Alexander can have another successful stint on a show - albeit being the lead.

Yes, he is supposed to be a former star football player or something.

While it could be said that his show was only tangentially related to sports a good bit of the time, ESPN can really be a bunch of idiots. I miss his show.

This show sounds intriguing.
Mark Lawrence would be a perfect Wilbon

I'm really looking forward to this show, I think it'll be really funny and a chance for Jason Alexander to establish himself as someone other than "George". Even in movies he's put into roles where he's still George.

Too bad it's on CBS, I loathe anything CBS.

I'm looking forward to this show, without a doubt.

And I wish Tony would go back to ESPN Radio. Especially since I can't stand his replacement.

I watch PTI every day...but...it Tony really THIS big where you can base a sitcom around him? I mean, he's good and all, but he's far from a household name.

I'll have to watch this just tosee what it's like, I hpe Jason Alexander comes across as more "real" the real Kornheiser comes across as some who's a jerk, trying to be funny but fails.

He's definitely a big name on the east coast. Don't know about the west. He was one of the two finalists for the MNF job when Dennis Miller got it. I don't think many people knew that.
