and how in blue hell did Dixon get made chief ?
he wasn't even from the CIA ! plus he had those issues! you telling me he worked his way above heaps of guys who had been there for decades in just 2 years ? well actually a year and a half |
I would think that even people that hated last season's finale would tune in to at least see how it resolved. In the very beginning, I thought it was going to turn into one of those "resolve the cliffhanger in the first 10 minutes" thing that Allias loves to do, with Vaugn possibly being a fake. For some reason, I was thinking of that old GI Joe episode with Shipwreck... (anyone else know what I'm talking about?)
There were many times during this ep. that I was hoping that it would all turn out to be a ruse, and they would get back to "normal" but even the previews show that it's not going to be the case. And they hopefully won't do a "who shot JR" type of dream thing that spans multiple episodes. Dixon rises to director status in two years? A guy who spent a long time working for a terrorist faction (albeit unknowingly) and who's main asset is field work? That seemed a little hard to believe. That whole Rimbaldi thing better be a ruse too... they set a lot of stuff up with the whole mountain journey that Sloane took, where it was revealed that his obsession with Rimbaldi reaches far earlier than even the first episode. And if Sloane didn't kidnap Sidney, and presumably mom didn't either, who's left? Isn't mom still the person predicted by Rimbaldi to end the world? Or did they somehow resolve that little plot point (I guess it could be Sidney's double). |

And let's all remember that he's only head of that field office, not of the entire CIA. If the old head left and SpyDaddy is in jail, then Dixon was the next ranking elder within that office. For a field office, field training is one of the highest coveted qualities for a director, not being a politician like for the CIA Director position in Washington.

maybe they hired some of Roseannes writers from her final season and in reality Syd is just writing a book and her job is finally over and she just can't move on. we will find out in the last episode of the series that the whole thing was just her imagination.

Originally posted by Meatpants I think they've made it clear now that Syd is the woman in the prophecy, not her mom. |
Originally posted by Josh Z No, Syd can't be the woman in the prophecy because she visited that mountain in Europe. |
