Beyond Re-Animator

Is anyone excited about the upcoming Beyond Re-Animator TV movie on Sci-Fi? I'm kind of torn because TV movies (especially horror) tend to be pretty bad, and it will probably be rather tame in comparison to the first two. But, Jeffrey Combs could completely carry the movie.

And to just to get it out of the way now, the Sci-Fi channel is the anti-christ of television or something.

Anyway, the world premier is October 4th at 9pm.

Well played, my simian brother ... well played.

I'll put you at the bottom of The List. Who knows, I may never get to you. Then again ...

Undecided, but open minded. I don't think this is a real 'original movie' but one they bought exclusively like Cube 2 and some others. That gives me some hope.

First, so there's no confusion- it's not a TV movie.
I found it to be a so-so sequel to, what I consider, a horror classic. The gore is there, the goofy-sometimes-not-intentional-humor is there, and of course the same "acting". But something is missing... the entertainment.
I might watch just to see how much they hack out (so i'm a masochist), and incase there's some "filler" scenes added in to stretch the movie's time.

BTW- the DVD comes out in December.

Thanks for the correction on the TV movie issue. That certainly does give me more hope for it.

I'll be sure to watch it, since Combs is in it.

Was it ever released theatrically? I heard about it on AICN ages ago when they were filming, and then nothing until now... So I take it that the movie bombed or was disappointing...

Too bad. The original has enough of a buzz now that the right sequel, with the right marketing, could have been a big hit movie...
