According to Deadline.com, Harmon got a raise to $500K per episode and will get an Executive Producer credit in his new deal. Good for him. One of the very few stars who deserve it.

What are the financial perks of being the Executive Producer ?

I don't know what you mean by financial perks, but he's now making $12M for 24 episodes a season and now has more creative input in the show being an Executive Producer. I think that's a perk already. Most Actors who get Producer/Executive Producer credits are just Vanity titles. Since this show really can't exist without Harmon, I think it's more than a Vanity title.

I think they get more money from syndication rights and DVD sales with an EP credit. That's no small chunk of change when considering how well NCIS fares in syndication.

I wouldn't say it's one of my absolute favorite shows, but I really get a kick out of how well NCIS does in the ratings. It's nowhere close to struggling, so I don't feel the need to root for it to get these great ratings, but it's staggering to see a show continue to peak in popularity nearly week by week so far into its run.

How much has he/will make from the series? 100M+ ?

The show is in its eighth season, so I'm sure he'll go well past 100M, and that doesn't even include his cut from syndication.

So Sheen will have made more than 2x the current net worth of Hugh Hefner. Dam.

Depends on the quality of the coke.

...and the whores. $1000/night adds up pretty fast.

Assuming coke also costs $1000/night, it would take approx three years to go through 2M if done every night (which I assume he does not).

A high end call girl isn't $1000/night. For the type of women he probably demands, think somewhere between $5000 - $10,000 per night.

Had to look him up (never watched JAG), but you're right, odd they didn't go that route. Of course, same actors appear as different characters across the Law & Order universe.

McGee (forgot his real name) played a different character on JAG.

was nice to see Kate again in the flashbacks, just hated seeing her take a bullet again.

Did anyone notice that they left out the CGI blood spatter when they showed her get shot?

Did anyone else have a problem with the relative of a deceased team member being brought in to give the team its psych review? Way too convenient and no way that it would be allowed.

Chedwiggen's girl friend's son IIRC
but that was prior to NCIS being spun off from JAG

although other than the episode of JAG that spun off NCIS I don't think the two series ever crossed paths again so I guess it's not a huge deal

The actor, Sean Murray, is actually the step-son of the producer for both series, Donald Bellisario. His mother played the unnamed red head who was occasionally shown with Gibbs in the early years of the show.

Bellisario's son Micheal played Bud's little brother Mike on JAG and Abby's psycho lab assistant on NCIS.

Report: Security guard dies on 'NCIS' set
Feb. 9, 2011, 6:22 PM EST
MSN Entertainment

A security guard on the set of "NCIS" in Santa Clarita, Calif., died Wednesday after being hit by one of the show's production vans, TMZ reports.

The 60-year-old driver of the van reportedly suffered from a medical emergency while behind the wheel, causing him to veer off the road and into the set.

The 52-year-old security guard was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

"Everyone at the network, the studio and NCIS is devastated by the news," CBS said in a statement. "Our hearts grieve for his family and friends for this tragic loss. We are, of course, cooperating with the local authorities in Santa Clarita to help determine what caused this terrible accident."

Production of "NCIS" has been suspended until further notice.

Re: NCIS -- The 8th season thread -- Tuesday's on CBS

As a viewer who generally likes Gibbs, I found him to be a complete ass last night. He's always walked all over the Director and pushed people around, but his treatment of the new girl in the interrogation scene was a new low. Usually they justify it by having the person he's offending deserve it in some way, perhaps by being incompetent or having the gall to be almost as egotistical as Gibbs himself. But I didn't see that last night. Sure, E.J. tried to take over the case, but it was her case. If Gibbs was 3 murders into a serial killer case he sure as hell wouldn't cede control to whoever had jurisdiction over the 3rd case. And his rule about not sleeping with people on his team is quite hypocritical considering his past.

Unfortunately, since Gibbs is always right, I'm sure we will find out that she's just sleeping with Tony to manipulate him, or she's plotting in some other way. Hell, she might even turn out to be the p2p killer.

I was expecting Ziva's new bf to be involved somehow.

wmansir 04-06-11 05:34 PM

Re: NCIS -- The 8th season thread -- Tuesday's on CBS

They've screwed with Ziva's relationships so much I just don't see them going there with this guy.

I really didn't get Ziva's reaction to the revelation he was working with EJ and NCIS on the case. Ziva wasn't even connected to the p2p case, so why would she suspect he was using her/it was all fake/etc? I kind of understood asking if he had slept with EJ, because it might explain why he didn't tell Ziva he was working with her.
