Las Vegas 03/14/2005 "One Nation, Under Surveillance"
When an ex-Marine turned local politician is embroiled in a sordid scandal with a 16-year-old runaway, Danny (Josh Duhamel) vows to clear his comrade's name, but he soon learns that people arenÓt always as they appear when an even seedier truth is revealed. Elsewhere, a seemingly average Joe is willing to risk his mundane existence for one shot at living large. Meanwhile, Ed (James Caan) discovers a potential nexus between Sam (Vanessa Marcil) and a major drug distribution ring.
How many times will they do an episode where it looks like Sam or someone else is up to no good but of course they aren't?

Las Vegas returning when?
I couldn't find it anywhere, so I figured I'd ask... Does anyone know when Las Vegas will be returning to new episodes.
NBC's site says the next scheduled episode is the 18th and it's a repeat...

Funny you should ask. I was wondering the same thing about Boston Legal. Well, okay, that had nothing to do with LV.
How 'bout this..yesterday we finally had a chance to watch the past two week's worth of shows. My girlfriend wanted to watch more than I did. In fact, it was almost a chore to watch. We had yet another episode where Sam "could" be into something shady and they overuse the "zoom/facial recognition" thingie, even after Mike kept saying he wouldn't be able to do it since the equipment they were hacked into was ancient. Yet they were able to pull the license plate. However, I did like seeing the Knottster again when Sam needed a polyester "expert".
Back OT....supposedly, there are only four episodes left in the season.

CBS increased its lead at 9 p.m. with a new "Everybody Loves Raymond," 12.3/18, and "Two and a Half Men," 11.4/16. NBC held onto second with "Las Vegas," 6.9/10, which edged out FOX's "24," 6.6/10. "The Bachelor" averaged 5.8/8 for ABC. "Everwood" kept The WB in fifth. UPN went with "Girlfriends" and "Half and Half."

Strangely enough I found the ending to be a bit moving as the gang says goodbye to Luis, who perished overseas in the war effort. Ed and Danny go the extra mile to fix Luis's mistake, and find that Luis had a son he never knew, by the woman whose brother he sent to jail for a crime he didn't commit.
Mike's subplot was nice eye candy (Dave Foley needs to show up more on the show). Mary's subplot was ho-hum (with the secret admirer finaly revealing himself).

I did find it odd that Mary didn't really seem to care that Luis was dead, seeing how they dated for quite a while. Her reaction when hearing about the funeral was about the same as if she had heard that she had to work an extra hour that day.

I agreed. I thought that Luis was going to be revealed to be her secret admirer, but after Ed said that he had died, there was no chance of that.
I love Dave Foley, and am always glad to see him on TV.
Good episode.

Fun little episode even with Ashanti guest starring.
The dream sequence was so good (lucky Jon Lovitz) and are they putting Mary and Danny together again?
And let me just say that I'm glad to see Sandrine Holt in this show

Loved the dream sequence. I like the way Sam orders her lunch. Mary set a new low in low-cut tops with that dress at the end.
Heck, we even got Booger.

"I'm buying the Montecito."
"Three way?"
I always enjoy an appearance by Lovitz.

Danny is written so haphazardly, he's literally all over the place. He's horny, he's sensitive, he's curious, he's forceful, he's commandable, he's oblivious, he's...
