well - i'm going to continue to watch, but i don't see how skippng some episodes will hurt.
i could have gone from "enemy within" to "cold lazerus" without almost any loss - maybe watching ONE of the four episodes inbetween.

This show uses stuff that happened the season before or even 2-3 years ago for new stories. Although they may be boring, skipping an episode might very well have you
with future episodes.
I echo previous comments, if you're going to skip around: it would be better to drop it and move over to Farscape

Ok, I did skip two episodes in Season 1 - Bloodlines and Fire & Water
luckily, i have a nephew who gives me a list saying, watch this, it is important to future plots, so i assume anything leaving me with a
he'll make sure I watch.

Season 5 and 6 were WONDERFUL. Peter DeLuise came in, and seemed to make the show those two seasons.
I'm now into Season 7 finally, and it has really gone DOWNHILL. I just watched the "Amazon Jafa" episode (Birthright?) and it TOTALLY SUCKED.
Christopher Judge wrote a great season 6 episode, and he wrote this one, but it was GOD-AWFUL.
Enough to make me dig up old threads and see if anyone else said so.
I'm about to go watch the next one, because, again Season 5 and 6 were wonderful. But that one was SO BAD, I'm a little skittish about the rest of the season.

Most folks have put Farscape over SG-1 in this thread. I can't say that they're wrong. I think most any real Scifi fan would say Farscape is the better show (scifi or otherwise). I personally enjoy SG-1 more just because I like the characters better. They aren't deeper or anything like that, they just really worked for me. But going by your preferences I would say you will really like Farscape when you get around to it (just be willing to take out a small loan to afford the boxsets).
When you do get it though don't watch it all at once. Farscpae works better if you watch an ep or two then leave it for a day or three. Much like B5, I think you lose something when you watch ep after ep after ep, whereas you could watch an entire season of Stargate in one day and not miss a beat. That's probably just me. Farscape is an excellent show but it can be taxing (which is a credit to Claudia Black's acting chops, you really feel what she feels) so take your time with it.
Slighty OT - Was I the only person who was grossed out by Farscape? I like to snack when I'm watching the tube but I never, EVER, eat when I know I'm going to watch Farscape.
Also I join the chorus that says to watch Sports Night. I think it maybe the best show mentioned in this thread. Incredible show. Amayayayaaaazing (Keen Eddie ref) characters. And a show with heart (yeah I know I sound like a tool, but it's how I feel about it
).

Here's my "Skip, for the love of God, skip" list for Farscape:
I'm as big a Farscape fan as anybody on these boards, but I do have three words for you:
Coup By Clam
