everwood, wait until syndication or dvd,or start now?
Personally, i've never watched or ever cared for this show, but due to das's growing praise for the show (and most members seem to like it), I was wondering if I should start tonight, and if this is something that is easy to get into, as well as understanding the plot of the series or the current situation.
according to tvguide.com, tonights episode is Fear Itself
any help would be appreciated.(also das, thanks to you, I now need to watch more tv this fall.)

Its a very tame version of northern exposure.
My friend says its a 7th heaven version of it.
I really do nort care for any of the lead actors.
Many over act or just can not act. period.
Personally I like the Minor Characters.
When you view it for a while, you get the N. Exp rip.
I have 3 eps on dvd if you want to view them.
Just have to pay postage to & from. Email me.
Also das is not always, if ever write/right IMO.
So view at your own descretion.

I don't see it as northern exposure OR 7th heaven. As far as shows goes, I think it's relatively original with a style all its own. It was my favorite new show of last season as well. There is quite a bit you've missed out on though. I suppose you can still pick it up and then catch up when it comes out on DVD or syndication. That's what I did with Buffy and I didn't feel I missed out by watching every season sequentially.
