Jack is a retired FBI officer. We have seen from him how smart He can be. The POV result I believe was him throwing it intentionally. I would like to believe he is smarter than the results. I think he is trying to keep a lower profile and Let the other people in the group hang themselves before he makes his move.

Throwing it intentionally is what Alison did, not running around for 18 frickin minutes like a dope. But truthfully I'm sure he didn't want the veto anyway.

Patman 08-20-03 08:41 AM

But 18 minutes is too unbelievable of a time for that "challenge". He's totally drawing attention to himself by his "tanking" of challenges as well. He needed to stay near the bottom times, like Robert's, not triple that time!

saoirse 08-20-03 12:52 PM

No matter what you think of Rob, it was nice to see his love for his daughter.

Derrich 08-20-03 01:14 PM

tears != love.
It just means he knows how to work the old eye faucet.

big whoppa 08-20-03 02:41 PM

I believe Jack when he admitted that he hasn't thrown the competitions intentionally. He's just a lousy player. I knew he was going to screw up again in the camera veto challenge. Makes me really wonder whether he was ever in the FBI.

clemente 08-20-03 08:29 PM

Dude, Robert is freaky looking, but DAMN, his ex-wife is HOOOOT!

Just my in game commentary.

Jack's time was almost 3x worst than the second to last time, and 6x worst than Jun's winning time. He's either really slow in his mental processes or trying too hard to look like the Mr. Magoo of the Big Brother house.
That whole FBI 9/11 "failure to connect the dots" is starting to make more sense now.

After tonight's HOH competition:

Spoiler:
Looks like the stooges will rise again! Bwahahahahaha

get rid of the floaters.

garmonbozia 08-20-03 10:35 PM

I read in one of the other threads that 2 people were evicted the first week (or something like that).....how did this happen? I saw the nomination episode for the first week but missed the eviction episode and a few others in a row after that so missed what happened to make that possible. I thought if there was a tie that HoH broke the tie.....so how did two people go at once?

I have no problem with that. Both of them sicken me.

garmonbozia, there were two to leave the house in the first week. Scott was expelled prior to the regular eviction. The reason for this was he went nuts. Seriously. He just flipped out after his ex, Amanda, was nominated. He started throwing chairs around the house and yelling obscenities. After his outburst, Big Brother instructed him to go to the diary room, which he refused to do. He went on to say that if they wanted him out they would have to come in there and get him, i.e. forceably remove him. Scott later apologized, but he was asked to leave. Amanda was evicted later that week.

Jadzia 08-20-03 10:47 PM

I wish I had a nickel for every time Julie Chen said "chopping block" tonight.

Am I the only one who finds this annoying? What is wrong with just saying "on the block"?

Scott got thrown out for temper tantrums including throwing chairs around the house. He couldn't handle being in the house with his ex (Amanda). Then the regular eviction was Amanda.

Edit: Got beaten by a minute by taa455.

I was thinking the exact same thing. What are they, chickens? Or some sort of liver? ;)

PeMo 08-20-03 10:52 PM

What in the world can this "surprise" be tomorrow? I will be watching the live feeds as much as possible, but please let us know if you see something. (Of course with spoiler tags)

I can't even begin to guess what it could be. I'm starting to think it was a little blown out of proportion, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm wondering if "don't get comfortable" has anything to do with it. I doubt they'd pull the same trick as last year (bring back a previously evicted HG).

dolphinboy 08-20-03 10:53 PM

The object of the game was to get it as close as possible to the hole, without actually getting it in the hole.

Hasn't Allison been doing this pretty much since day one?

Julie is a moran. Her interviews are awkward. Her voice intonation sounds almost robotic. I typically get the urge to slap her repeatedly every 5 seconds she speaks.

Robert is flabby AND skinny. He is a stud, that ex-wife is incredible. Erika on the other hand is a butterface.

thanks for the replies movielib and taa.

I never watched BB before this year, but crap, that's what I thought they might be doing since two people were out the first week.....and I doubt they want to have a week's less worth of episodes. Not sure if they would do the same twist 2 years in a row....but whatever they do, I suspect they will make up for that lost week somehow.

Out of curiosity, how did they determine which HG got to come back last year?

Jadzia 08-21-03 12:40 AM

I think it would be funny if they brought in ANOTHER ex. Maybe Jack has one? It would be cool if they brought an ex for each person and they competed with each other to see who got to go into the house.

It was interesting seeing what's up with the "sequestered" house-guests. You could almost have another side-show with the goings on in that house once more evictees arrrive. Question though-- if they are supposed to be sequestered why did they show them watching an episode of BB4?

Whenever Julie Chen says the word "houseguests" I think of those people on South Park: "You may not have noticed, but we have an ass for a face."

Her lisp is almost as bad as Debbie Gibson's on "American Juniors". (She totally sounds like the Ass-face peopele.)

I had the same question. If they are still allowed to see what is going on, then they are not sequestered.

big whoppa 08-21-03 04:10 AM

This season is different for the supposedly sequestered jurors. In the other seasons, the evicted housemates were free to go wherever. Now there's a jury house.

Again, Jack makes it clear he has no skills at any of the games.

WARNING! Don't look below it you have just eaten:
