FX not renewing 'Lucky'

I just read in Entertainment Weekly that FX has decided against renewing 'Lucky' even though it was nominated for a writing Emmy.

Too Bad although it is not close to the shield it was pretty good

FWIW, I bet the ratings dropped off because the show jumped around and the episodes were not shown in their proper order.

I know it threw me for a loop a few times. Other than that, it had solid writing and was a promising show.

I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed.

The time flip is what got me off of it as well, gotta love Fox and their move decisions.

Do you mean continuity or time shift for scheduling? The show was always on Tuesdays at 10 aside from maybe the repeats or premier. Sadly I forgot more than once it was on and missed a week but I always caught the repeat after the new episode.

The show had a lot of promise, too bad they are not bringing it back.

I seemed to always miss it. I would turn it to FX at 9 and it would not be there, or I would catch the repeat. I thought FX moved it to 9:30, guess not.

I liked this show but I am not too bummed it is gone. It was one of those shows that had a tendency to stack up in my Tivo. Which tells me I liked the show, but was never "excited" enough about it to watch it right away.

I guess John Corbett's relieved that the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" sitcom also got cancelled. Since he had to turn that down to star in this. It would have sucked for him if that show became a hit while Lucky got cancelled.

I watched a couple of episodes and didn't care for it.

Maybe I had too high of expectations, with it having John Corbett (who I liked in Northern Exposure and Sex & The City), and after watching Season 2 of The Shield.

The time flip didnt bother although I did find the episodes that aired first much funnier than the episodes that aired last. It was a decent show but then again, I don't particularly like the shows that try too hard to be dramedies.

Bumping this four-and-a-half-year-old because I just saw Craig Robinson on TV. Most of you may think of him as Daryl from the Office, but to me, he'll always be Mutha from Lucky.

How come Lucky isn't out on DVD yet?

Ever Carradine is on Women's Murder Club every now and then as a supporting role as well. And of course, John Corbett has been boning Bo Derek for a few years. Not sure if they are still together or not. He also released a pretty good country CD a year or two ago.

This was on around the same time as the first season of Nip/Tuck if I remember things right. It was no more than 6 months ahead of the big poker boom, but it seems that 6 months killed the show.
