some of the stuff was funny. i really like the guy who robbed the gas station when he was 18. also, the teacher who had the joke about surfing/sharks was great. Ralphie May is funnier than his stuff he did.

I was my Son of the Beach DVD set today and who do I see guest starring on the first episode of the second season? None other than Ant, the gay guy from last week's first hour (who Rogan accused of stealing jokes). So I checked his bio at the IMDB, and saw that he was on the WB's Unhappily Ever After for 3 years, from 95=98. Does NBC understand the definition of the word "undiscovered?"

Ralphie May cracks us up and a few others are pretty good too. The guy from Minn. and Dan Pham's twin were good. We really liked Pepitone and wished he would have been picked to stay.

We agree that the spiky hair girl is annoying. CHA CHA CHA!! :eyeroll:

How in the world did that white woman with spikes get picked over the gay guy? What in the **** was the thinking behind that? She was horrible and he was one of the best guys there. If Ralphie May doesn't win it all this show is rigged.

D.Pham is also a good comic. I'm kinda rooting for him since he has had a hard luck story and his take on azn's cracks me up.

Ok, the spikey hair blonde girl is LAME. How the hell did she get picked. .. Cha cha cha my ARSE!
I don't think there was anyone who did not see the NY NY Casino Statue of liberty hair cut joke from A MILE away. and it was still not funny. Are the judges deaf?

From the little preview of next week i guess we now know why Rich Vos was picked - he's a complete dick and will provide some "drama" in the house

That guy is sooooo not funny. And the spikey blonde chick wasn't either...they definately should have picked the tall thin brunette who did the joke about having her breasts fondled in India....

I was so worried when there was only one slot left and Ralphie May hadn't been picked yet. He's still the only one that makes me really laugh. A couple of the people they picked were really bad. I would have liked to see Pepitone get in.

Probably says something in there about being on a WB show

Yeah, the producers made them take along certain people who weren't funny to keep the mix diverse. I mean, the spikey haired one (unfunny!) and the black chick (old cliched jokes!)

Tonight's show....

The house is silly, it's interesting, but I'd rather see more standup....

What's with everyone picking on Sean? I'm guessing that he must be a bigger ass then is shown on the show, because a lot of people were against him. I'm guessing he has an aggressive personality, due to being in the minority in his home state in reguards to his... ideals...

The pan handling bit was good, but I was rather surprised by the winner. Maybe Spike Lee's fanclub passed by judging on what she was saying and that's why she got all the money Sad to see Pham not win that after all the effort he put in.

An interesting way of voting someone off! a very very good way I think, because it makes alliances dangerous to have. It forces you to be very careful with who you pick. If you pick someone who you think can beat you, you might pay for it.

Both sketches at the end were not as funny as each comedians prior material. Sean's was rather disapointing compaired to his other stuff. Though truthfully, his older stuff was a little stale, he always put a spin on it that made it very funny. This time, he in no way did. I think whoever goes on last has a HUGE advantage though.

Sad to see Sean go, because I thought he was truely better then a lot of them.

I still want that woman with the spikey white hair gone. She is useless. She sucked as a comedian in the auditions and she has contributed nothing. The gay guy was robbed and he deserved her spot.

Anybody here from Houston? The only hour of nbc I watch all week was preempted by some stupid hour of rice owl celebration. Of course when this happens I always miss the couple seconds at the beginning where they tell if it'll be shown again at another time. Does anybody know if it's going to be shown at another time? I think it's repeated on Comedy Central on the weekend, but I'm going to be gone all weekend.

Hehe, right after I typed this I put it on nbc and they're showing it, but I think it's the end.

My wife and I didn't find Sean funny but we did like Dave? the Minn. guy he went up against.

I think the black girl won the panhandling cuz her flirtatioius personality works in a crowd. We find her kinda funny and aren't ready to see her leave yet.

Maybe chachacha will go next week.

Well, I caught the second half of it and I really like how they get voted off. I almost felt bad for Sean though. He had to pick from the 3 best comedians on the show.

The selection/voting is great but it is similar to how they vote on DogEatDog. I thought Dave was hilarious! Funny stuff about the sandbags and road trip on the school bus. He delivered the standup with humor and in a cynical manner.

I think that whomever gets the most votes to be challenged should go first as this would give him/her a disadvantage as it should for having the most votes.

He was a jerk, did you see how he gave them a hard time about the spaghetti sauce when he didn't even help? I really don't feel to bad for him, near the end of the episode he started acting and looking like a psychopath. Of course that could be clever editing on NBC's part, so you never know.

As for taking on the best three comedians, he certainly bit off more than he could chew. He made all sorts of bad excuses when he finally was challenged. He said that he wouldn't take on Ralphie because he was a cook, and Richard because he didn't say mean things in the booth . The fact of the matter is that he underestimated Dave. Hell, even I was afraid Sean would win at first. He probably made the best choice though, because fat guys always get some laughs and Richard Vos is not exactly an unknown(I have seen him several times on Colin Quinn's show) and IMO is the funniest guy there.

The editing on that scene was WEIRD. I think he was being an ass, but not as big an ass as he was made out to be in that instance. For some reason, unknown to me, everyone in there didn't seem to like him though, when I found Rich to be far more annoying than Sean. Really though, both were big jerks. At least Sean learned to walk away when there was an argument instead of turning it into a big fight. Sean must have done something really bad... maybe it was the spaghetti thing.

Excellent episode. Now it's just getting better. I thought it was funny that the fat guy called him out.

A friend of mine says Ralphie's turning out to be a jerk, but I still like him.

I told him that I think that comics tend to be jerky deep down cuz they have to be very competitive in that biz and also deal with hecklers, etc. This hardens them and many use laughter as an outlet for not so nice aspects of their life, whether it is current or things they dealt with while growing up. It's almost always the one person against the crowd so they have to be tough.

I think most of the people on the show will exhibit jerky behavior-this is very high stakes and to repeat myself-very competitive.
