That sour, selfish, ex-patriate spinster who is apparently satisfied with nothing and no one just makes my skin crawl.

I feel sorry for all the homeowners she's done rooms for, she has no idea what would be practical for them- in fact, does Kia even know that people are going to have to live in the room after she leaves?

The designers on TS have 10 times the talent as those poseurs on WYWO.
In order of preference for me:
Vern
Edward (the new guy that used to be their sewing master)
Frank (please no chickens)
Laurie
Doug
Gen
Hildy
Kia
If it were my house and Hildy or Kia showed up, I would probably just walk the other way.
TS:Kids is a joke. No budget? Please. that's just dumb.
Monster House is definitely growing on me.

Yeah, I gotta give him props too. I also like that bald British guy.
On a TS note...what did the homeowners of that piano do to Hildy when they found out what happened..?

I'm curious about that too. Of course they didn't say anything on the show... but I would be surprised if there wasn't some damage to the main body from when it fell over.

My favorite designer is Vern. I also like Edward, although they do not feature him often enough. Laurie, Doug and Gen I occasionally like but I would definitely stay away from Kia! Her rooms are so tacky-- I wish they would feature Edward more than Kia!

I think the garden makeovers on WYWO are lame. Those designers need to watch BBC's "Ground Force" to see how it's done. They hardly do any planting at all!
The WYWO garden "designers" usually just decorate the patio with pots and other cutesy crap but they don't do a complete landscape of the space a la Ground Force. It looks like the WYWO changes are merely cosmetic and not very dramatically different.
