sure, but I suggest you go to the hbo website and read the bio on all the characters. There are 29 people so far, and while about 1/3 are new, the rest have a history going.

I'd say it's never too late to pick up on a quality show.

But, RoQuEr is right: there's a lot of characters to keep up on.

Well I did. I read up on the main characters at HBO and was able to follow most of the story. Now...when's the first season going to be on DVD?
