Well, season 4 of Buffy is just around the corner for me and I'm wondering if season 4 is the season I start watching Buffy and Angel together.

Or should I wait until season 5?

Yes ... you watch them in order alternating episodes, Buffy first then Angel.

Oh thats bull. There are only two or three episodes in the season that are connected to both shows. The rest are not.

No problem. Of course, you could watch them in whatever order you like, but that's how they originally aired. Critical match-ups would be:

Buffy - 'The Harsh Light of Day' to Angel - 'In the Dark'
Buffy - 'Pangs' to Angel - 'I Will Remember You'

And then just make sure you see Buffy - 'The Yoko Factor' after Angel - 'Five by Five' and 'Sanctuary'

Watching them in order, of course, ensures these match-ups as well. I hope you enjoy them!

Also, you should watch Buffy eps "This Year's Girl" and "Who am I" before watching Angel's "Five by Five" and "Sanctuary". Makes more sense that way.
