Angel 05/07/03 Season Finale

Episode: "Home"

Spoiler:
Angel Investigations are made an offer they can't refuse, when a newly opened Wolfram and Hart give them the opportunity to work there, allowing them access to every secret file and rewarding Angel with a file on the Sunnydale apocalypse. Meanwhile, Connor realises he has no future with a loving family and goes on an insane rampage, taking hostage families from a nearby mall. When Angel discovers what's going on, he is offered a chance to give Connor what he desires, even if it means giving him up.

Our WB station went off the air last night at 8:40pm CDT, during Smallville. It's still down. I called them and all they'll say is "They're working on it." It sounds like it was something big.

Anyway, you'd think they'd have it back in time for Angel tonight but if they don't I'd much appreciate it if someone would tape it for me and send me the copy. I'll pay, of course (I can do PayPal).

This station reruns Smallville on Sunday but it does not rerun Angel. I don't know if they will rerun it this time because of the outage (if they don't get it fixed in time).

Thanks in advance to anyone who would do this for me if I can't watch it tonight. I'll post if they get it fixed.

Our WB station is still down with less than two hours to go. I'm really thinking I'm not going to be able to see it.

Anyone out there who will make me a tape?

A little plea for all who are Angel/Buffy fans. Unless you want the Buffyverse to just disappear forever in two weeks, please watch Angel tonight!!!
Thanks!

At the risk of sounding nerdy, Amy Acker is probably the cutest little thing on TV! Hope this isn't the last time to see her.

Damn!

A great episode that laid lots of potential for next season, but that ending was really sad. (Literally, I could feel Angel's heartbreak, the best I could anyways.)

If this is the end of the show, then so be it, but I feel there is definitely room for more.

Spoiler:
It'll be interesting to see how different it will be next season (assuming there is one) now that they're with W&H.

I actually let out a yip of joy when Angel slit Conner's throat, and was very satisfied with how they "finished" that little storyline.

The whole "Sunnydale needs this trinket to survive" was an interesting addition.

I really hope the last episodes of Buffy really blow me away, or I may finally put Angel over Buffy on my "like" list.

Now for the long dang wait for S5!

That was a great way to end the
Spoiler:
Angel/Conner
storyline. I actually like how they went about doing it - I thought it was sort of cool. But I am really happy because
Spoiler:
Conner is gone, for good hopefully.

Damn - Lila (Stephanie Romanov) is sexy as hell!
Spoiler:
Even though she is dead, it would be nice to see her walking around W&H next year w/ Angel Inc. running the show.

Wesley is a badass - I like his character more every week.

It seems like nothing was resolved. If Angel does get cancelled, then there are just way too many questions left unanswered. Even the Connor thing didn't feel completely resolved to me. I have a feeling that if Angel goes for another year or two that Connor will pop up again. Does he still have his super powers?

Of course I don't think W&H were honest with them either. Wesley said they have their own kind of honor, but they're lawyers. Of course they're going to have some kind of "out" clause.

Spoilers ahoy!

I thought the season finale worked okay as a springboard.

Was puzzled about what happened to Gunn with the black panther(?).

Allowing Connor the Norman Rockwell life of a young man is yet another sacrifice/penance for Angel's past misdeeds. Can't say I'll miss Connor.

Was never quite sure the gang would go for the W&H deal, but Angel was sort of bent over the barrel with too much incentive not to pass it up.

Looks like Stephanie Romanov gets to keep her job (should the show be renewed).

Wonder what Cordelia's reaction will be if/when she wakes up from the coma.

I was really hoping the episode would of ended with Angel getting back into the limo and saying to the driver: "Next stop, Sunnydale'.

Welcome, Lara. Long ride from Millennium for you?

Can someone explain what on earth happened between Gunn and the black panther?

Don't have a decent scanner at the moment, so I had to photograph these with my digital camera and do a quick-n-dirty attempt to fix the colors from my compact florescents. They're from the April 2003 issue of FHM:

I'm sure Joss Whedon or Tim Minear probably could, but other than that, no, no one can. (bashes head against wall in confusion\frustration\long wait\etc)

Lord, I hope not. I hope when W&H wiped out the memories of Conner from the gang, the writers' memories were also cleared of his existance.
