OH MY GOD... that's wrong... Josh is still in this????!?!?!?

Well, one thing I can say is that if Ruben gets voted off now (which I'd be actually stunned if it actually happened), then hometown boy (Clay) will win.

Geez. I feel about as ticked off as Simon looks. Josh should have lost tonight and he knows it by those camera close ups.

Whew! Thank goodness Ruben is still there. Close one.

Still ridiculous though. So much for judging on talent.

Honk!

Didn't you get the memo? This year we're voting based on patriotism, not talent.

I'm so pissed about this I'm considering not watching the rest of this season.

Josh is this year's Nikki, apparently.

Ruben being in the bottom two this week just won him the contest. People were taking for granted that he would just get voted ahead. Since this little fright, they won't do that anymore. Ruben is now going to win this contest hands down (which is as it should be, since he is clearly the best singer, IMO)

I think this is more of the case where voters are trying to save certain performers they like (for whatever reason), instead of voting who is best. No, Ruben hardly belonged in the bottom two, you could see it in Joshua's face and actions as well. Jeesh, it's not Josh's fault- he's just going out there doing the best he can (which is negligable). But I do find it interesting how the producers never divulged the final vote tally and Ryan's plea near the end regarding voting.

I still believe that if this contest is about who has the best voice, Kim L. should win. But it is much more than that, obviously. Josh deserved to be booted.

First of all, what was up with Caldwell's eyes? And Justin... did he skip makeup, have plastic surgery? He looked... different. His song was okay.

Also I'm not a Ruben fan, I don't think he's that great. But I don't believe for a second that he was in the bottom two and Josh wasn't. Can you say manufactured drama.

Just think what everybody's going to be talking about tomorrow.

EXACTLY what I was thinking when he was announced for the bottom two.

Now, people will rally in support of him, and vote and vote and vote for him thinking he is on the "bubble" if he isn't. And will send him over the top.

That's the same reason Josh stay this week. People knew he was the worst, so his "loyal fans" rallied around him knowing if they didn't he would be gone.

That's why I'm not suprised Trenyce is out, or do I care. She didn't have a large base of support.

Remember it's a vote FOR who you want to stay, not AGAINST who you want to leave.
If that was the case Josh would have been gone a while back.
But if it was done that way, someone pointed out a while back it would be more "mean spirited" as in America who do you NOT LIKE!!!!
This way it's given the positive approach of "support your star" instead of vote out the LOSER! This way they get MORE votes to claim those millions too.
So this method has positives and negatives.
One of them being we assumed certain people have "plenty" of votes so no need to vote them in.
If it was vote out, some people wouldn't get any real # of votes against them. And you would quickly weed out the people that you didn't like.

I agree, I believe the results were fabricated.

I read on another board where a guy tried for 2 hours straight to get through to vote for Ruben, and it was busy the whole time. He tried the other numbers to see if any of them were staying busy and got through to Josh's number every single time. If that guy's telling the truth, then there's definately gotta be something fishy going on.

VERY possible.

Especially because it only HELPS Ruben in the end. To rally even more support towards him, to get him over the Clay hump.

And added "drama" for the week.
entertaining to watch.

And, look at what the judges and Seacrests comments were.
"you have to take this seriously",
"please don't play around vote for the best singer".

Well WE can VOTE FOR ANYONE WE WANT TO!!!
So obviously they were saying America didn't vote for the best, and the best was Ruben. What if America was voting FOR Clay or Kimberly?
Why does it have to be a travesty if we didn't vote for Ruben and only Ruben?

It does lead suspicion on the motives, the make a clear front runner from the producers (since he is the most marketable), and they want him to win, and may have tried pushing him over the top by doing that tonight.

Ditto. I hate those people who vote for Josh. They could have a no talent ass clown wrapped with an American flag, and people would for him. Oh wait...
