This has raised a interesting point...are Jews "allowed" to watch TV during Passover? I hope I don't offend anyone, I was just wondering as I know they refrain from many activities during the observation of the Sabbath, so possibly they don't watch TV until Passover is complete, which would be Sunday?

Yep we can watch TV on Passover. Just can't eat 'levend' bread.

I think the network does it on Easter Sunday because they can open up a big spot of time to show it, and they figure people are staying home that day so they can air one of their nice money making movies.

I can say without acception that almost no TV event is scheduled around Jewish holidays. The only holidays really accounted for are the major Christian holidays (which believe it or not are seen by some as 'secular' ie Xmas, Easter) and the Major US holidays (ie Thanksgiving, New Years)

What gkleinman said.

And Passover doesn't end until sundown on this Thursday. It goes on for 8 days and 7 nights.

If you believe the movie is being shown only because of Passover, the movie is shown on Sunday beacause ABC does not want to waste a Thursday night on a 4.5 hour movie that appeals only to people with nothing better to do than watch it for the 100x time. Although ABC's ratings still suck anyway.

Secondly, if you are a Christian or a Jew you are supposed to "believe' in the story of the Jews fleeing Egypt. Makes sense to show an all-inclusive movie.

I hear the rating DOUBLED from last year in the 18-25 demographic: they went from 1 to 2
