I missed the last part as well. From what I saw it was pretty good.

The scene with Angel rescuing the puppy and the reaction of Angels was funny.

The Willow and Fred scenes were great.

Now I just have to find the episode.

The best part of the show definitely was the ass-kicking Faith gave to Conner's naive ass. The worst part of the show continues to be Evil Cordy. She bugs me more each week - I really don't like how they have been handling it in regards to her character. Good to see Willow kick some wicked magic around. I thought Fred was about to drive on the other side of the road towards the end. Oh, how I will miss Faith. Bye lady.

I thought the comment from Willow to Fred at the end was odd. I didn't catch a lesbian feel at all. I just thought Fred was so excited to have somebody to geek out and discuss magic and demonology with. Plus, Willow's always been the smartest one on Buffy and Fred's always been the smartest one on Angel.

i've only seen the last three episode (and don't plan to watch anymore (yet) now that faith is leaving) so i don't have a huge frame of reference but i thought this was a great episode by buffy standards. the funniest one of the three i did see. i got season one but am waiting until season 4 of buffy so i can watch the episodes properly. i was completely clueless to faith's relationship with these people (actually i was clueless to most of their names at first), and am somewhat confused. but yeah good episode.

Agreed. I see that Angel has now made quite a few references to Buffy...it would've been nice to have seen Willow get a call on Buffy even in the background or something...[then again, she could've..I don't remember what happened during the last new Buffy ep. When was it?...last year? ]

And I agree with bahist17's comments about Cordy.. [Though, I didn't really mind the obvious "natural" enhancements..]

BTW...has Charisma popped yet..?

Their was none. I think just about the entire cast, outside of the people that came over from Buffy, came on after Faith made her apperance on Angel.

I thought it was a rather pedestrian episode (based on the high standard this show set for itself) - it just didn't flow for me, switching between the fantasy and the reality. Also, the Willow humor just felt uncomfortable in the context of the story.

Did like Connor getting his ass kicked. I thought for a second he was starting to figure out Cordelia at the end there, but no such intelligence.

BTW, why is Cordelia able to bypass the anti-violence spell? Is this confirmation that this isn't Cordelia possessed, but a human posing as her?

Ditto. I got more of a hero worshippy she's-so-cool-I-hope-she-likes-me vibe than an I-want-in-her-pants vibe from Fred. Most of Willow's "Gay now!" jokes don't work with me, though.

The Willow on Angel had none of the power-issues she has on Buffy, which was an interesting change. I'm trying not to think too hard about how much contact Willow and Fred have had since they originally met, since that way lies mass confusion. Willow was written oddly, but I'm writing that off to Mere Smith having zero experience with the character before writing this episode.

That aside, I really did like the episode. The flashbacks did a nice job of explaining Angel's fall from hanging with the Rat Pack to eating rats, as well as providing character development for Faith. Lorne had a few nice scenes with coma-Faith--Actually, everybody had some good scenes with Faith, both in and out of the coma.

EvilCordy's getting pretty old, but since they've already played out the other two big arcs (the Beast/no-sun thing and the Angelus/Faith thing) they had going, it seems pretty likely something'll start happening there soon.

I must be in the minority, cuz I actually like the Evil Cordy bits. I've been hating Cordy since the middle of season 3, because her character has just been going off on this wild uncharacteristic tangeant since. The possibility that it really isn't Cordy, or is possessed Cordy, or whatever make all the prior "WTF is up with Cordy?" episodes a bit more enjoyable. Granted this may have been changed after the fact, but it certainly lends a bit more logic to her bafflingly uncharacteristic behavior earlier this season. And, yes, the Connor/Cordy scenes are icky, but now I feel like they're icky for the RIGHT reasons and not the wrong... we're *supposed* to be put off by it.

On the Willow/Fred thing, I think that there was any intention of there being any "interest" from Fred-- only that Willow jumped to that conclusion, to everyone else's confusion. She made some other awkward comments, after all. I'm sure that Fred, as Faith once put it is still "driving stick".

I thought so, too. She was way too casual about her use of magic, for one thing. On Buffy, she still struggles with the dark side of her powers and only uses them reluctantly and with a lot of caution. On Angel, it was like "No big deal. What spell do you want me to do next?"

She also seemed too flippant about the whole situation for much of the episode. Better writing would've allowed her to demonstrate her concern about Angelus' return and her empathy with the gang amidst all the jokiness.

Still liked the episode, though. And I can't wait to see what happens once Faith returns to Sunnydale.

Yep, Fred was geeking out and Willow took it the wrong way. Hence, the funny.

I wonder how that's going to work.

Last night's episode was alright. I hadn't seen the previous week so it was good for a slight recap.

Anyway, I haven't seen Buffy in a long long time but my gosh, Willow kicks ass now.
I still don't like what's going on with Cordie although it is very reminiscent of her old high school self. I still don't understand what's going on but I guess that's why I have to watch next week. The first gay thing that I got from Willow was when she was talking to Wesley about him turning dark and then quickly changing the subject to talk about Fred. And it was nice to see that Faith didn't die like some people had predicted. All in all, not bad.

There was more chemistry between Fred/Willow than Willow and that horrible Kennedy. What the heck does Willow see in that 'maggot'?

That 70's soda fountain scene was disturbing, it throws Angel in a totally different light.

Connor definitely had the hots for Faith, even after she kicked his butt.

evilCordy is just annoying, I want the realCordy back!

. And next week sees the return of
Spoiler:
Gwen Raiden
. Suddenly, Faith's departure from Angel doesn't seem so bad.

I thought it was odd that Willow left without saying goodbye to Cordy at the end.

How in the world does
Spoiler:
Darla
keep coming back? Hasn't she died like three times by now?

Here's hoping Evil Cordy doesn't get the show cancelled.

Forget
Spoiler:
Darla
-- I want Lindsay back! I never could figure out why they got rid of him mid-season 2... The original Wolfram & Hart bad guy, who kept *almost* turning good... It's not like Christian Kane has done much at all since... It seemed like they primed him up as a regular and then dumped him...

For those of you that missed any part of this ep..the WB just sent me this:
Because many of you missed portions of Wednesday's "Orpheus" episode of Angel due to breaking news, we are offering you another opportunity to see it this coming Sunday, March 23, at 9/8c. This replaces the previously scheduled airing of the movie "Blade."
...unless, of course, things get worse..

How can it get any worse than missing "Blade"?

Oh boy. As a fairly new viewer (been watching both Angel and Buffy for almost a year) 2 out of 3 of those people look foreign to me. Can anybody tell me if future episodes will be difficult to understand from a n00b's POV?

Well, usually the "previously on Angel" bit at the start of each show is pretty decent in almost highlighting the connection between the past and what might happen in the current episode.

But nothing can replace actually seeing the previous episodes to fully appreciate them.
