Whoopi - Hell no. I'd rather watch my cat use her litterbox. The result is the same.

Vince Vaughn - Nah.

Elvis Costello - Nah.

Will Ferrell - Now this I want to see.

Honk!

You've can always watch Leno if you don't like the hosts. That should be slightly better than watching your cat using the litterbox. Maybe.

Doubtful. But there's always a first time for anything.

I doubt I'll watch tonight because Whoopi gets on my nerves but the rest of the week looks good.

When Glover was on Letterman years ago he started doing all these kung fu moves and did a kick that went right up to Dave's head (it didn't make contact). They broke for commercial and when they returned Glover was gone. Point being, he's weird.

1987. A freaked-out Glover makes an appearance on Late Night with long, stringy hair, some striped bell-bottoms, and some platform boots and proceeds to come within literally inches of high-kicking Dave in the skull.

Beaten to the pic.

From a transcript:

DL: You seem to be distraught. You seem to be distraught.

CG: People seem to make me seem a lot weird. And I'm just--I'm strong, you
know. (flexes arm) I'm strong. I can arm wrestle. Do you want to arm wrestle?

DL: No.

CG: (stands up) I've been taking... These are mine... I can kick. (Kicks
at Dave's head.)

DL: Okay, okay. I'm going to check on the top ten. (referring to fact that
top ten list graphics haven't been ready throughout show) (Glover pulls on
Dave's jacket to keep him from going but Dave walks away from desk.) I'll be
back. (Glover sits back in chair. Cut to commercial.)

Whoopi was just OK. Nothing too thrilling.

Good to see Paul back with the band though.

I disagree about Whoopi. That was painful. Letterman will probably miss another week if he happened to tune in.

At least Dave Chapelle was funny.

She had a couple zingers I enjoyed..[the nation being led by "A Bush, A Dick & A Colin"]..

Other than that..Chapelle was funny..[as usual..]

That comedian was UNfunny..

I musta blinked and missed Jessica Lange..I went out to add some more ingredients to some gravy I was making, and when I got back Chapelle came on..oh well..i'm sure I just missed more discussion about the war..[though, I would've like to have seen her after Dave's description of her as "the white Tina Turner"..]

And I switched to Kimmel before Ben Harper came on..

Vince tonite!
[And hopefully Angie's still lookin as good as she is in that upcoming Frankie Muniz flick..]

Crispin Glover is one weird dude. If nothing else, I will watch when he is on for morbid curiosity (sort of like watching episodes of Madonna or Farrah Fawcett after their buzz gathering interviews with Letterman)...

Crispin Glover's appearance ranks up there with Jerry Lawler slapping Andy Kauffman for all time Late Night memorable moments. I can't believe they're having him on even without Dave being there. Will damn well better bring it up! I think he should just see if he can freak Crispin out and see who's weirder

I haven't watched Whoopi yet, but I'm glad I recorded it since they had Dave Chappelle and Ben Harper.

Yeah, Lange talked about how she talked in front of the UN building, blah blah blah. The tepid audience response to the whole "anti-war" talk between Lange and Whoppie made it tolerable. But just barely.

Only one of those I'd care to see is Paul Simon. His recent Grammy's performance with Art was great.

Yeah just put it on mute, but Rosie Perez always looks great on Late Show appearance. I dunno how Slutty Spice is looking these days, but one can hope.

That Crispen Glover moment was wild to see. I believe I saw that the first night it aired in the summer of '87. I'm looking forward to his appearance.

I'm stoked about Costello being a host. I think it's more interesting seeing someone sit in that chair who isn't typically an actor. Of course, he's got plenty of experience in front of a mic.
