Heidi definitely turned me off when she was talking about her "group" being the hot girls, etc. However, I did like her "plan" for the merger
I loved the look that Jenna gave the guy (Alex?) that remembered her name, I think she liked that. It's safe to say she's my new favorite female on this seasons show.
The horrified look Matthew had when Dan told everyone he spoke Mandarin was priceless! I dont think that knowledge will hurt him though.
Hopefully the guys can pull it together in the challenges, beacause I don't think they're going to catch a break and get a totally physical challenge.

Edit: I could see the votes so it was clear Dan was voted off "with prejudice" I just couldn't hear anything.

I also joked that I felt like Chrissy. We both have sick minds.

Does anyone else feel that the men threw the challenge? A five yr old with a spork could have cut through that rope before the men.
It was clear by the 6-1 vote that Daniel was gone long before the challenge.
One last thought:
Anyone think that Survivor will have one of the previously voted off brought back to the camp a la Big Brother 3?

It involved unlocking themselves, crawling under log, a puzzle, walking across balance beam, another puzzle, climbing a ladder then swinging down a pulley and unlocking tribemates.
That's not physical. I'm talking about running, climbing. swimming, rowing, lifting...
Stuff the men would easily win. It's not going to happen unless the teams merge. Then we will see physical challenges.
Every challenge so far involved some kind of puzzle.
There is a pattern for every challenge so far.
Every challenge involved solving a puzzle, getting keys and unlocking locks.
How come we haven't seen any swimming contests yet ?
Because the men would easily win.
Every Survivor had a lot of challenges involving swimming or rowing a boat.
I suspect the next challenge will be a nagging contest.

We're finding this Survivor much better than the previous one. The men vs. women thing has added a new dynamic to the game and they certainly cast people that would accentuate that dynamic.
As for the most unlikeable group of Survivors, I would easily give that award to the 4 in Survivor Africa's brat pack. The worst group had to be Thailand's boring bunch.

I only flipped the channel to check out the immunity challenge.
Why would you ask for conditioner when the guy before you just asked the same girl for it???!!! Dan is such a dumbass. I dunno how they could not vote him off.

This season is fine, I'm digging it.
I think the challenges have been "fair" between the sexes, meaning the playing field is pretty much even for the event at hand.
In the past, you have both men and women on each teams, so the teams had both strong and weak members, making the swimming/rowing/etc fair events for both teams to compete.
What's been on display is the stupidity of men (so far this season in the Amazon).

To illustrate my point that Survivor 6 isn't doing any physical challenge look at these challenges from previous Survivor shows:
Survivor 1
A treasure chest is submerged 150 yards off the Sand Spit. Each tribe must swim out to the treasure chest. Once the entire tribe has arrived, they must dive down and work as a group to drag the chest along the ocean bottom back to shore. First tribe to haul their chest ashore and open it wins.

Snake Island Relay: A combination breath-holding competition and underwater swim race.
Survivor 2
Day 4 began with both tribes receiving tree mail summoning them to the upcoming reward challenge. Atop a 30-foot rock cliff, host Jeff Probst explained the rules of the "Butch Cassidy" challenge: Leap off the cliff into a deep pool of water, swim to a floating crate, and—once the entire tribe arrives at the crate—unhook it from an anchor, swim with it through rapids, and carry it to the beach. The first tribe to cross the finish line with the crate would win its contents: warm blankets, useful especially during the frequent rain.
The tribes received tree mail, notifying them of their next reward challenge, "Triage." Before the game, each tribe had to build a travois (triangular-shaped stretcher) sturdy enough to hold and transport a person.
The tribes met host Jeff Probst at the Triage challenge site, where he explained the rules: Each tribe must select two rescuers, while three other tribemates wait at pre-determined "accident sites." The rescuers had to find each of their tribemates and transport them one at a time on the travois back to a first-aid tent.
Survivor 3
The contestants arrived at Challenge Beach to meet host Jeff Probst, who explained the rules of the challenge: The tribes must drag a heavy fire caldron cart over rough terrain while lighting a series of torches along the way. The first team to successfully light all of the torches and cross the finish line wins.
Survivor 4
After receiving tree mail notifying them of their first Immunity Challenge, the tribes met host Jeff Probst at Tribal Beach, where he explained the rules of their next Immunity Challenge. Carrying an outrigger canoe outfitted with two torches, the tribes had to swim with the canoe out into the ocean, light the torches from a fire cauldron, then race back to shore while lighting a series of torches along the way. The first tribe to have successfully lit all the torches and cross the finish line would win.
After receiving tree mail, the Soliantu tribe met host Jeff Probst at Challenge Beach, where he explained the rules of the Challenge and revealed the next reward: a day on a private cruise ship, complete with a hot shower, a change of clothes, and a hot meal. To win, the Survivors had to successfully complete a challenge much like musical chairs. Starting from a floating dock, the seven castaways had to jump into the water and retrieve six large shells at the bottom of the ocean. The Survivor who did not surface with a shell would be eliminated. After three rounds, the four remaining Survivors would compete in a final sprint to the shore that would require them to carry a 40-pound stone. The first person to transport their stone and bring it to Jeff would win.
Survivor 5
The two tribes met host Jeff Probst at the Reward Challenge location, where he explained the rules of Palanquin Slalom. Each tribe would have to pick one person to act as a guide, while the others would be blindfolded. The blindfolded tribe members would have to carry the guide in the Palanquin. The guide would navigate them through a course. Along the way, they would find several stations with a tribal bag hanging from them. First tribe to have completed the course and collect their bags would win. The reward: one lantern, fishing line and hooks, and a 30-meter fishing net.
Now compare these challenges to the ones from this Survivor.

To be fair the challenges should be the same as on the other Survivor show. They shouldn't be made easier just because it's men vs women.

They also blew the reward challenge by asking for items they had in their case. They should have asked for items that they did not personally have. But I'm glad the women won because we got to see them use their rewards afterwards.

And I didn't like how Heidi referred to herself, Shawna, and Jenna as the "cute girls." She came off as very shallow.

Although 10 days without women, seems a little too short to makes these guys go so crazy.

I couldn't tell from the camera angle. It seemed like they didn't have the angle for a good swing and were sawing at it. But they are pretty dumb, maybe they just didn't try to get better angle. Certainly in building their shelter, they've done heavier chopping than the women with machete.

Also the women are kicking the men's butts which I love seeing. Do you really want to see obstacle course challenges were the men would dominate every one? Now that would be some boring television. The current challenges have been great so far.
Can't wait for the next show!

Hmmm, I'm not sure I agree this is the worst group. Survivor Africa had some young ones who were horrible. I also think this is more entertaining than the previous Survivor, which was the worst.

Dave seems socially dumb to me. Alex seems to be playing well. Rob is too "out" there and is a lightning rod. Matthew is probably the next guy to go. Roger is either the patsy (like Clay from last season) or will get the boot after Matthew.
The "young" girls are the most vulnerable to go (Shawna, Heidi, and Jenna).
