I'm a Republican, but I think Maher's show is always funny. Yeah, he skews to the left with most of his panel and all of the audience, but the Conservative Political Shows are just as guilty of it these days.

The one thing I will give Maher is he is not afraid to call out Extreme Muslims, as he gets alot of shit from his liberal friends. And his 'New Rules' Segment has been great for years.

I watch intermittently and must admit I didn't realize his show was off the air for a couple months (didn't necessarily miss it I guess). I've never been a big fan, but did see him live one time and it was a decent performance.

I see he's doubling down with tonight's guests - both Jane Fonda AND Keith Olbermann. I may tune in since their blood pressure is probably off the charts.

It means they might be jacked-up on the high Trump's inauguration today. The same feeling that makes a rioter can go nuts and light a limo on fire.

High blood pressure doesn't cause people to do anything except perhaps die. Perhaps you're thinking of adrenaline or alcohol?

Woof, that new set and opening is terrible. The opening reminded me of some low budget, 90s into, and set looks more "Late Night" that the unique and sophisticated look of his old set. And the panel that takes an awkwardly long amount of time move to the front.

You can call Bill crazy...but that Keith Olbermann is batshit crazy. No wonder he doesn't have a major anchor job anymore. I hope he doesn't believe all that BS he's spouting...I want to believe like, say, Glenn Beck, he's just doing it for the small base he actually has that follows him.

I don't care for the remixed theme song. The original version seemed more fitting to the show. The new set didn't bother me but I didn't have a problem with the old one either.

Saw this today, hated the new set as well. By getting closer to the audience (as Bill stated), it seemed to lose the intimacy of the panel. I thought he was doing a remote broadcast until he mentioned the change. Hopefully, they will be a broader range of guests for the remainder of the season.The last 2 shows have been like watching fans of a losing Super Bowl team.

Right now the late night comedians need to get their shit together because they are not funny since Trump got elected.

Comedy is still comedy, and if they are all just going to be angry for the next 4 years then it's going to come off as stilted.

I thought Maher's shows were great during the election last year until the last 2 weeks (post Comey October special) when he realized Trump could win. Then his comedy went from panic, to now the shows are a therapy session.

Show was missing someone from the other side, but I imagine any decent option from the right was too busy with the inauguration to come on. I would expect the usual format next week.

I did not like the new theme song at all. I thought the show had some funny moments, and Bill had some funny responses.
