The Simpsons 2/16 "300th Episode"

Funny so far.

The "incriminating" photos: Just when I thought that Michael Jackson with the baby was getting played out to death, the Simpsons take it and run! .

Marge: I can't count how many times your dad has done something crazy like this.

Lisa: *clicks counter, rolls over from 299 to 300* It's 300, mom.

Marge: I could have sworn it was 302!

Lisa: shhhh.

Marge saying she doesn't know how many times Homer did something crazy

Lisa: It's 300, mom.
Marge: I could have sworn it was 302.
Lisa: Shhhh!

You beat me to it.

It had a couple decent moments, but overall it wasn't that funny.

Is the 8:30 ET episode new?

I haven't seen it before.

The take on Requiem for a Dream when Homer ate the Ribwich was perfect.

Yeah, the 8:30 et ep is also new... and I agree - the Requiem for a Dream bit was dead on

oh and on a side note, I didn't like the 300th episode all that much, a few funny bits but lacking..

Neat scenes (like the Reqium for a Dream spoof) != funny. So far it's pretty much been insipid jokes and idiotic sight gags, as usual. Homer fighting a major guest celebrity star floating in mid-air on a skateboard nearly made me throw up my dinner. This is the celebration of the Simpsons' 300th episode? For shame.

Not funny, not clever. Didn't like this episode at all.

If (Hate the current Simpsons)

Anyway, the Req. for a Dream spoof was great, I wish they had stayed with it longer. I could have easily seen Homer, Lenny, and Carl going around cross country looking for other Ribwiches like in Req, the Chronos Quartet score would have been great as well.

The 300th episode was pretty good but not great. The episode after was better.

"Barting Over" is a decent episode, but "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can" is fantastic!

BTW did anyone notice the return of drunk Barney in the Spelling episode?

The Ribwich episode was better.

So was the spelling episode supposed to originally air back in Sept/Oct? Seems a bit odd to show a 'back to school' episode in February.

I can't remember why, but it got pushed back. It would have gone well nicely back then. I believe the McRib was actually being made, and there were a few other jokes that expired as well.

Hmm...maybe the McRib is travelling around the country just like the Ribwich, because we have the McRib 'round these parts right now (for a limited time).

Edit: Woohoo, after nearly 3 1/2 years, my 500th post!

The part with the photos in the first one was great.

I really didn't get that last part about Lisa's head being put on the mountain. What was that supposed to mean?

It was a good two episodes, much better than some of the others this season. I liked them.

I thought the "Rib-it" Frog was funny.

"Try the sauce. I'm soaked in it."

Laughs i can count on a single hand....ehh what a way to celebrate a "300th" episode

The "Married with Children Reunion" clip show was funnier than this.

I've learned my lesson, turn FOX off untill the show that you wanna watch comes on. (which isnt often)
