Angel question regarding Conner

I was watching the show last week and noticed Conner was kicking some major vampire a$$, almost as if he were a male slayer. I was wondering if because he is the offspring of two vampire of sorts (and if someone could, please explain how that happened since Darla died in Buffy season 1). Does this make Conner kind of like a Blade character? Anyone else think that Conner and Dawn should hook up and make a whiny duo that torments both Angel and Buffy?

Darla was brought back by Drusilla (in I believe) the second season of Angel (dont flame me I because I do not know the specific episode).

Both Conner and Dawn have brought both series down as far as stories go.

I haven't had much of a problem with Dawn this season. She's not as bad as she used to be.
They can't kill off Conner fast enough on Angel. That character had so much potential and they really dropped the ball with it. He's had realy bad stories and I think Vincent Kartheiser was miscast. When I think of this badass son of 2 vamps he's not what I picture

I couldn't agree more, although who knows, when I see his audition on the Angel season 3 boxset at the begining of March I might change my mind.

Dang! How quick are they coming out overseas?

I guess being the son of two vamps makes you a bad a$$? Like I said, sounds like a Blade rip off.

If you want to know more about Connor's origin...
Previously on Angel,
Spoiler:
Darla was brought back by Wolfram & Hart at the end of Season one in order to turn Angel over to their side for the apocalypse they have been waiting for. She was originally brought back as a human. If I recall correctly she and Angel slept together early on in Season 2 and then W&H brought in Drusilla to try and control Darla which she did by vamping her again. Later on we found out that Darla is pregnant which is still a mystery as to how two vampires could have a baby together. Darla stakes herself in order to assure that her baby can live. In Season three, one of Angel's enemies from several hundred years ago is awakened from a deep sleep by a demon who has sworn vengeance on Angel. After failing to destroy Angel as he had vowed, he steals Angel's son and disappears into one of the hell dimensions where time moves faster than here. Connor grows up there knowing nothing but hatred for Angel. He is exceptionally good fighter and is known as "The Destroyer" in the other dimension.

I think Connor and Dawn have both dragged both shows down. I dont like either of them.
They have done it a bit differently than most sitcoms but still adding a new baby or young character is not a good sign to a show. Think Family Ties and Growing Pains.

Quicker than I can afford. Angel season 3 is in March, Buffy's OMWF will be released as a stand alone in April and Buffy season 6 is out in May I think.

They seem to be released every 6 months approx, and Angel season 3 has some good extras, like Connor and Fred's auditions.

According to insider info it will be released April 14th as mentioned at the R2 Project here: http://www.r2-dvd.org/article.jsp?se...articleId=5172.

The info about the extras are totally wrong, but hey, everybody makes mistakes.

Bumping as Buffy OMWF is now officially available to order at amazon.uk here (please affiliate the link for the forums if possible).

The cover looks truly awful, but for fans not prepared to wait for the boxset, or those who aren't fans of season 6 it makes sense to buy it this way.
