Alias 01/26/03

I was sort of embarrassed by all the cheesecake ads of Sydney in various forms of undress or in lingerie and bikinis. This show is not just about cheesecake, but I guess that what Disney/ABC wants to portray to the rest of the country that hasn't seen Alias yet. Too bad.

But, I have high hopes for this episode to kick the series into a new direction that will breeze some new life into it as well.

Tonight will be the first episode of Alias that I will watch. Since, it's inbetween Superbowl and Jimmy. I'll give it a try. DON'T FAIL ALIAS!

When were those cheesecake ads of Sydney shown? If it's shown during Superbowl, it's understandable. Since majority of the people watching Superbowl are males, especially young males. Thus, targetting the ads to those guys might attract the right people to stay and watch the show after Superbowl.

The way ABC's going now, this episode won't be shown until friggin WEDNESDAY.

The game is OVER.

We don't need to see a play by play.

We don't need to know who's going to DisneyWorld.

We don't need ta hear Bon Jovi.

End it already.

Jeez.

BTW...perhaps the dumbing down begins with this ep? I saw the commercials, and while I agree Jennifer is it's sad to think that they need to work it like this to get viewers. And if this is what causes people to watch, perhaps they shouldn't be watching at all.

It's a shame that millions of people across the country are going, "Bring on the Alias chick in her underwear!".

if they don't show her in her underwear for quite a while they are not going to hold any of the new viewership.

Way to appeal to the lowest common denominator from the very first second of the show.

(I thought she looked fantastic. )

Well, it's not as if they are bothering to be subtle. At least it's not as bad as CIA interview episode full of flashbacks.

Now they're going into the Danny Hecht stuff. Wow. Will ANYTHING new happen in this show?

Sydney - "I'm fully strung." Ooh. For some reason, that sounds naughty.

das, what would really be great is if abc ran an Alias marathon on abc family. i missed the boat here and have little free time for new shows to watch. but i've wanted to add Alias to my list of must-see shows and i just feel like it's too late to fully appreciate the show. i was late with buffy too and then fx gave me the greatest tv present that i ever received. i'm gonna watch tonight to see what it's like, but it would be awesome since they have so many channels would be to let new viewers get to see the show from the beginning. i'm pretty sure i'd be much more willing to give it a shot if i knew i might get to see all the old episodes sometime soon or even over the summer. not just the past season's reruns, but the whole show. i don't watch 24 and this is the only show that i really feel like i'm missing something and want a second chance at.

i've heard that it's a very good show, but, that aside, jennifer garner is VERY hot and i wasn't unhappy to see her in her undies during a pretty lopsided game.

At least it gets him to stop humping Sydney's leg all the time. Damn, Will gets all the action.

Oh they are just going leaps and bounds with the storylines, aren't they? I swear, I think this would normally take up two or three episodes. They are quick!
