Worst Television Theme Songs?

So, I turn on the TV, and "Operation Condor II" with Jackie Chan is playing. The movie is near the end and I notice that he sings some sort of an "80's powers ballad" in the last few minutes...and boy was it horrible! Anyway, I get to thinking about certain television theme songs that were so bad they're just laughable. It reminded me of the worst theme songs I think has ever graced the earth:

Chuck Norris singing the Walker Texas Ranger theme song!

I know there are plenty of others out there, but can't quite put my finger on them. What are some of the worst? And not just particularly ones that the star sings themselves, but any in general.

Off the top of my head I'd say the theme for Enterprise .

Top 3 Worst from Current Shows:

Friends (good for 1 season, now it's horrible)
Smallville (obnoxiously bad)
Six Feet Under (fitting, but boring)

Top 3 Best from Current Shows:

The Sheild (love the mix of hardcore rock and latin music)
CSI (Who doesn't like The Who?)
The Sopranos (Always sing along although I never understand any of the words)

I don't think longevity should count against a theme song...if it was good season 1, then why wouldn't it be season 6...same song.

Bad theme song:
Frasier - Tossed salad and scrambled eggs?
CSI - I just never felt that the theme song matched the show very well....it ends it teaser with a real serious tone and then it jumps to that song...it always took me out of it.

The ones I love:
Farscape - there something about that theme song that just gets me pumped.
Angel - rock and violin perfection
Alias and The Practice - dunno, just really like them.

This isnt real fitting for this topic but I always thought that scrubs had a cool theme song. But when they changed it in the beginnning of this season it kinda messed me up. Then it went back to the old one. maybe that says something,

The 2nd Ed theme song... Clem Stine's "Moment in the Sun." Ugh. Whiny crap. Compared to the Foo Fighters' "Next Year," it was a moment in hell.

The song sucked the 1st time i heard it...

When the song was released the stations here treated it as if it was the greatest piece of music ever recorded....couldnt go a day without stumbling across this song at least 5 times.

ill be there for you all

i like friends and frasier's themes...

if a tv show doesn't have a theme at all, or a theme that doesn't not appeal to me, i end up getting turned off to the show. especially if they dont have a theme but some 5 second thing with the title and creator.

Although I like it, many people dislike Everwood's intro. I like it, screechy violins and all. Go figure.

They had to go back to the short one because Friends runs over now.

Dislike:

1. Smallville
2. Enterprise (It's HILARIOUSLY bad.)

Plus the hidden ****-erotic lyrics!
"The eyes of a Ranger are upon you..." (uh-huh)
"Everything you do he's gonna see"
"When you're in Texas look behind you,"
"Cuz *thats* where a Ranger's gonna be." (yee-haw)

I also nominate the theme from Family Ties (sha-la-la-laaa)
with honorable mention going to "The Facts of Life"

The song is called "Woke Up This Morning" by the band A3 off their album "Exile On Coldharbour Lane". The CD itself is different. It is described by the band as "techno country gosphel acid house blues", and that's really a pretty good description of it.

Just thought I would share that.

On Topic:

I'd have to go with "That 70's Show". The song just doesn't do it for me, though I LOVE the show itself.

Shows I like the theme to: Sopranos, Alias, Scrubs, CSI (Classic and Miami).

I enjoyed it a lot more up until the (second season?), when it was changed from a rock song to more of a "pop melody".

Re: Rhetorical?

I don't care what it means....I just don't like it. It could mean "Clemente has won ten thousand dollars of Kelsey Grammars money" and I still wouldn't like it.....though I could use ten thousand dollars.

I like Smallville....I've heard the whole song and I don't really care for it, but the portion they've annexed for the theme song is quite good and fits the show well.
