It just seems like alot of networks are on auto pilot now. The New Twilight Zone, New Dragnet, the endless parade of reality shows. Is it me or does it seem like they've given up?

Dragnet? I thought that show went AWOL.

Premiering in Feburary.

I was leery at the concept.....but I've seen a few commericials and I'm willing to give it a shot. But its going up against NBC's equally promising looking Kingpen.....dilemna.

And "From the creators of Law and Order."

I will give it a shot. Looks like they are trying to take it seriously.

Though it's funny that it stars Ethan Embry and Ed O'Neil, who also starred together in the movie "Dutch." Weird.

I'll end up recording this for at least the first few episodes to see if it's any good. I'm really looking forward to see if Kingpin is as good as it looks.

Works for me. As hoaky as it sounds, if Ed O'Neil is on board I will definately give it a go. The man is one of the most underrated television actors out there. That, and the chemistry between the two of them in Dutch was great, so I could see it working. Now, we are back to the age old dillima, will there be the writers to support these two....

If Dick Wolf and Ed O'Neil are involved, this could be a good show. I plan on checking it out assuming I have no conflicts.

Last I heard, this was going to be Sundays at 10PM, and they were moving The Practice to Monday nights. Unless they've decided to change their minds -- David E. Kelley was pretty pissed about the switch.

That kind of sucks although with no football, I should be able to watch Boomtown and record Dragnet.

Bad countering-programming though - putting it up against another crime drama, a critically-acclaimed one at that.

Given how his shows are so lacking in quality now, I don't think ABC really cares much about David Kelley's opinion anymore.

I'm not sure if it's moving or going on hiatus but Kingpin is replacing Boomtown in that timeslot.

"Kingpin" will temporarily displace "Boomtown," which has aired in the Sunday 10 p.m. slot this season.

After its debut, the second episode of "Kingpin" will follow two days later, on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 10 p.m. (pre-empting "Dateline NBC"). The series will continue to air original episodes over the next two weeks on Sunday and Tuesday.

Damn it! This does not bode well for Boomtown - putting it on hiatus during sweeps. This is basically how ABC ending up causing the demise of Philly last year.

Kingpin does sound interesting though.

Why? Before he did Married with Children, all he did was drama. He was a major theater actor back before MWC. I think alot of people have him typecast as the Al Bundy type. I think he's a fantastic actor and deserves to have a shot at any roll he's up for.

I liked Ed as the Troll King in The 10th Kingdom... for what its worth...

I'll watch, I've got nothing else to do on Sunday night...

I didn't realize that's who Ethan Embry was... now I'm gonna give it a chance for sure. Dutch was an excellent movie, as that sort of movie goes.
