He was back on, he showed the picture Lara Means posted, of himself in the hospital. His eyes seemed a bit puffy, but he also seemed ok.

He overdosed on Advil, or Aspirin (not sure which). He took about 8 pills, and had an allergic reaction. They did a montage of his transformation through the show, and it was kinda creepy. He started off with a raspy voice, and ended up with eyes close to being swelled shut.

No, he was filming a scene in which his character was taking Advil. He overdosed because it was supposed to be 'candy' advil, but...as we all know, it was the real thing.

Bruce Lee died from brain swelling due to a hyper-sensitive reaction to medication that an actress he was rehearsing with had given him for his headache.
They were rehearsing at her apartment and he went and laid down after taking the medicine. She found him unresponsive and called for help but it was too late.
His son was killed in a gun incident while filming a movie years later.

As for the intentional bullet with Brandon Lee, I assume you are kidding. It was a negligent accident with a fragment being propelled into his body when a blank was fired.

I caught the end of that show - noticed he looked really funny but just assumed that he was under-the-weather and still had to do the shows. Didn't know it was so freakish

Did ABC show a rerun of Kimmel last night because of some random comment he made about Detroit? Man, Conan had the whole Canadian government against him and he still continued to do his show.
Tonight's episode has been pretty good. The 2 Bush clips they showed were much better than the clips Letterman has been showing. Letterman should really lay off those. With 1 or 2 exceptions they've never been as funny as the Dr. Phil clips he used to run.
