My wife was very impressed with the revelation that Aaron had insisted on paying for his fiance's engagement ring, rather than letting the show pay for it.
Me, I would have let the show pay and used the money for a honeymoon or house. The wife wasn't too impressed with my logic, but she signed up 9 years ago, so.....

Or something along those lines.
Homey used the same line on both girls. Aaron probably learned that from his dad.

Yeah I was laughing after that too.
This was the first time I noticed how annoying Helene is. That laughing after every comment gets really annoying really fast. I wonder if he will be able to put up with that on a daily basis. Plus she can't shut up when she is kissing.
I loved his apartment as well. It probably goes for only $500/month in Springfield.

I knew it would be Helene, because on their final date Aaron asked her someting about what he had to do the next day. She said something and they laughed - like they already knew. Also, when she was getting in the limo she was wearing different clothes...

He's worth millions. That's like any of us dropping $10 on a chick.

Most of us would have kept the $10.

I wouldn't have picked Brooke either. A University of Tennessee fan could never date an Alabama girl. I wouldn't have entered the Alabama room of her stepfather's that would be a disgrace to all the Vols fans in Tennessee.

Is that better than the inability to complete a sentence without laughing?

laughing is better. The only major turnoff of Helene is her laugh and she talked too much. I really think Brooke was dumber than a box of rocks. Does anyone have any idea how much that ring costs? $7000? $10000?

I'm sure the ring was over $10k. Wasn't it like 1.6 carats or something? Or was that one of the other rings? Assuming that the diamond is of good quality and combine that with the platinum band and you get a ring that's more than $10k. Plus, since the show offered to pay for it, I'm sure it's an expensive ring...

Homer will be happy that he lives right next to a sports bar. I wonder what Moe would have to say about that.

What I'm getting at is that sometimes these college kids say things like I'm going to be a doctor or I'm going to be a lawyer in order to impress their dates. But in reality, they haven't even begun the first step in preparing for it. She is a senior and my guess is that she hasn't even taking her LSAT since she hasn't even picked out a law school either. She could have at least mentioned a few names that she was interested in. Seeing how young she is, she probably just wants to get married, live off of Aaron's fortune and have a family.
Here's an interesting observation. My gf, and her roomates noticed that Helene was in a different attire and her hair was messy during that clip of her at Aaron's house. She was nicely dressed the nice before, but the next morning, she was seen wearing different clothes and carrying a backpack, etc. Perhaps she spent the night at his place?!? :O What was going on behind closed doors?

I took the LSAT a year before I applied to law schools. One is not dependent on the other.
When I was in college, I knew a lot of people who took LSATs, GMATs, MCATs, etc just to get them out of the way (since they were in an academic mode) even though they were not planning on going to grad schools until a couple years after college.
What I am getting at is who knows if she has taken the LSATs and even if she hasn't, most people don't go to law school right out of college.

I would bet that ring cost over 20k. The one he picked appeared significantly larger than the 1.64 carat emerald cut identified during the show. Couple that with the fact that it was being sold at Harry Winston's, and he should have paid a premium over full retail. Now, if Winston's discounted for ABC, and Aaron got the discount too, then he may have gotten it closer to wholesale, which still would have been in the 10K range (IMHO).

I only watched this last episode of the Bachelor. But here's my $0.02. It makes for entertaining television, but then I thought about it some more. I feel REALLY badly for Brooke. She's going to be crushed for a very very long time. Yes, she's young and inexperienced. But to go through all that and find the man of your dreams and then getting dropped. She would've been MUCH better off if she had been dropped in the beginning.
The thing that's scary about this show is, does anyone else feel like this is going to set girls up for unrealistic expectations? How many guys do you know of that have every single combination of what you look for, like Aaron does (or at least seems to)? No one that any of those girls meet in life is going to measure up to Aaron. Aaron probably isn't perfect IRL either, but ABC sets him up to be the perfect man.
Oh, and also, my bet is that Aaron eventually calls off the engagement. They're going to get to know each other for real now and I'll bet Aaron finds stuff he doesn't like so much.

Did anyone watch Good Morning America with Aaron and the 2 girls on it? If so did Brooke and Helene interact and what was said?
I saw Aaron and Helene on TRL, they had them do like a newlywed game type deal, they were almost 100 % on the answers.

He's no more the man of her dreams than Brad Pitt. She just disillusioned herself into believing that this guy was "the one" (not to be confused with the first "the one" she was engaged to). She went on a TV show and convinced herself that the nice rich guy who was the subject of the show was miraculously her soulmate. Remember she believed in one perfect love for each person.

However, I will admit, I'm intrigued to see what will happen when the roles are reversed (the Bachelorette).
BTW, they said something like "Trista's back..." on the promo. Who's Trista? Was she one of the 25 women on the Bachelor?

Anyone with eyes can see Brooke is better looking. Helene has a big nose and no chest. Maybe Aaron's millions can pay for a good plastic surgeon. And Helene's laugh would make me want to kill myself, not to mention that terrible accent. Yuck.
