Does it actually make sense to remove a character only a few episodes into the season? Shouldn't they try at least a full season to see how she adjust to the show? Does it make sense to can her now? What about her contract that's probably at least a full year long?

But it seems like most people who watch are only watching it because they love the original so much. Most people I hear talking about it say they think it's pretty bad. I have been this close to giving up on it, but I've hung on so far, even though I don't really like any of the main characters. I think Caruso & Delaney are both good actors based on other things they've done, but their characters are just wooden and poorly written.
It's actually refreshing to hear the network is trying to fix the show, even though on paper it looks like a success.

Did Kim Delaney play Megan Donner, the original head honcho of CSI: Miami before she took a leave of absence and Horatio took over?
Even though the stories aren't so great, I like Emily Procter aka Calleigh Duquesne/"Bullet Girl". And, that actress who does the autopsy's at the morgue... I love how she goes about doing an autopsy. Probably the best-written part in the show.
