Holy carp!
I cannot believe they did that! They've been saying all week it was something NEVER done before, and boy were they right. All I can say is wow ... WOW. Complete shocker. I must admit ... I NEVER would have guessed they'd come up with something so brilliant!!!

Shocking!
Scandalous!
Could Ted lose anymore weight in his face? He doesn't look himself (from Day 1) to now Day 19.
Ted is starting to remind me of Isaac Hayes.

No we're talking. I was on the phone with a friend and said, "well, he did say 'the two tribes will live there'," then he noted that there was no new tribe name yet, but neither of us believed they'd have two rival tribes sharing a camp. Shows how much we know.

Hoo booy! Now the losing tribe only has 5 to pick from to give the boot to. This is inspired. The tension (and ha ha from the other tribe) has to just be off the hook.
We're headed into unchartered territory for Survivor...

With the tribes still separated, the strategy of booting the strong just before "the merge" makes for a stupid strategy.
But I have to think that the tribes will merge, just later in the game.
I have to think that it's goodbye
Damn, this is the longest tribal council yet!

"I've not lied to you ... yet. I've not backstabbed you ... yet." May want to back off the use of "yet."
Gotta give her credit ... she's making a good case.

Interesting development. Boy did Shi Anne fuk up. I almost felt bad for her.
How about Penny's smug look at the end. She shouldn't be so smug. Something tells me she's the next to go if the tribes do stay separated.

Well, I have to say, keeping the tribes separate yet together sure threw me for a loop. And boy did it backfire on Shiann. Too bad, too--I was beginning to really like her.
Now the tribes will be more divided than ever. Do you think they ever will merge??? When?

Shii Ann really got screwed by the new twist. That's one thing I hate about these reality shows... They change the rules in the middle of the game. Just imagine if the more traditional game shows (like Jeopardy) did this.

Thing is, ShiAnn actually made a good argument. They are going to be down a person going into the merger. It would've been WAY smarter to keep someone who knew the other side. HOWEVER, it came too late. The speech came at tribal council. Jake Ken, and Erin weren't able to discuss it. At the same time, when they voted, none of them could risk being the ONLY person who also voted for penny besides shiann. C'est la vie. ShiAnn was a little too eager to share her feelings. Something that's a no-no in survivor.

The rules didn't change. They made faulty assumptions, and as Samuel L. Jackson has taught us, when you make an assumption, you make an ass out of you u and mption.

The format changed. Earlier Survivor would merge the tribe after 6 were booted off, and individual immunity was at stake.
This new twist may delay the merge, but they did get people talking amongst the tribes and whoever played their cards close to their vest will have an advantage. Also, the twist means each person is still dependent on their tribe winning immunity to stay safe for another 3 days.

So ShiAnn thinks she knows the other side; Big Wup Shi. All her insight of the other tribe would have meant jack squat. I don't see how her keen insight to the inner workings of Chuay Ghan would have prevented them from voting off the members of Sook Jai one by one.
Her only goal was to save her butt, not to help her tribe members in the possible upcoming merge. She knew that the members of Chuay Ghan had taken a liking to her and if she could survive this tribal council then the other members of Chuay Ghan would have went after her old tribe members first before going after her. And I would even bet that Shi would have outlasted Chuay Ghan members such as Jan and Clay, for I think Big Ted and Brian would have used her in their cabal to get them to the end.
