Does PBS edit their programs for content?

I know that BBC America edits some of the their shows for content (particularly some of the risque British Comedies like ManChild) so that they can be aired in the US, but I was wondering if PBS does the same thing.

Last week my local PBS just started airing the second series of Coupling and I was wondering if its even worth watching on PBS or if I should just buy the R2 DVDs.

Thanks

they are usually pretty good with them and don't edit them down for content. Considering they are running off member funds they can take it a few more steps and often do. I doubt they edited it down.
