Sandbaggers
Does anyone know if there is a Sandbaggers Vol 3 planned for DVD release? I have the first two volumes that present the first 13 episodes, but there are seven more. The collection I have is from BFS Video, but I'm not sure how to contact them.

I already did, they don't have any plans for doing the final eps
I'm not even sure they own the rights to them (or who does or if the eps even exist anymore
).

This is disappointing news. I can't remember if my local PBS station ran the whole series or just the same episodes as are on the DVD, but that was at least eight years ago. I may try to contact the production company -- Grenada TV -- I assume they still have the rights.

I cannot recommend this show (DVD sets) highly enough.
ANY fan of well written political/spy thrillers will love this show. The dialogue is so well written, and the actors are fantastic. The Sandbaggers is kind of the Anti-Bond. It brings the reality of the spy world more into focus.
I am definitely looking forward to the season 3 set (even if seasons 1 & 2 were better).

Oh, and to have some fun with a friend at work who introduced me to The Sandbaggers I call him Sandbagger 3.
Sandbaggers fans should get that reference.
Of course, if you REALLY want to insult someone just call him Peele - or Deputy Chief.

This is way out of date now I guess, but I have a quick question.
Looking at amazon.co.uk (I bought series 1 from them because they're so much cheaper than the US discs -- about to buy series 2) -- was Series 3 never actually released in the UK on DVD? Is the R1 version the only collection?
thanks.

Season 1 was released in Aug 2005; Season 2 in May 2006, so season 3 is likely to be released late this year or early next year.
The UK generally stagger season releases even for older shows.

Thanks for the update -- I just ended up ordering Season 2 UK and the 3rd season from Amazon UK marketplace (US release, but for the approximate UK price - $20 less than amazon.com). -- the staggering that you mentioned is a little weird given that the US releases have all been out for a few years now.
