in this way, it almost makes no point to come in first anymore because as soon as you get going, you either have to wait for something to open or for some plane to leave.
i always tended to like how they did it in the first season when they used to say take a plane to london and do it anyway that you want and you would see all of the Aracers scrambling to telephones trying to find seats. in AR2 and this season, it looks like they're giving them a list of all the flights and the teams are just scrambling to get on the earliest ones.

REmember, no one is going to watch the last 3 episodes of a show if they already know who the winner is, so there is a good reason to keep everyone relatively close. I don't have a problem with that. It makes teams have to consistently work to be at the top.

Also, is it me or is the theme for this season flamboyant homosexuality?... then I am going to go out on a limb and say that the guy on the "long time friends" team is also gay... starting to wonder whether or not one or both of the identical twin models are gay.

No one or two teams really grown on me either, but I’ve found that he Amazing Race doesn’t really develop the teams personalities/good conflicts until its whittled down more and becomes tighter. But, I agree, past seasons did have slightly stronger dynamics from the get-go, more teams that had more defined niches- the grannys, the bro and sis, the feuding couple, the religious right, and so forth.
