the west wing 10/2
a few thoughts...
--it was good as always to see a quality charlie scene. albeit just briefly, he is quickly becoming my favority character which i thought that josh always would have. charlie is such a rock but quietly instead of making a huge deal about it.
--the guy who saved CSC (those of you sports night fans will know what i mean) is back as a secret service guy continuing AS's penchant for reusing actors.
--cj looked really good at the rock the vote thing
--josh and toby and their push for education credits. as someone who has massive student loan debt i just wish that real politicians would do this.
--josh and amy...i hope they don't last. i liked her as a temporary girlfriend but now she is just kinda annoying me. she looks good but is still annoying.
all in all, a pretty good show. not the best but certainly not the worst.

I really enjoyed this episode. The speech given at the education conference was nothing short of awesome.
As someone else with student loans who's currently still in school, those tax deductions sound really good to me right now. What are the odds we can make this happen? Okay, pipe dream I know.
The interaction with Leo and the lawyer (I forgot her character's name) was charming. The Lincoln, Nebraska thing in the situation room was morbid and funny at the same time.
Charlie was always been my favorite character and it's great to see him getting more sceen time.

I love the humor they string through the episodes. It's so refreshing to have to pay attention and think about what everyone is saying and not have laughs piped into your head from a soundtrack that make you feel like you have to laugh to enjoy the show....although Friends and Will and Grace do have their places I suppose. I think ER is a lot like West Wing in this way. Gotta love the Nebraska thing. Also, did you catch CJ say "Hello sailor!" in the Oval office? Only other one that comes to mind is the episode from last week in the situation room "Personally I think we should cap off a D2 Trident missle just to see if the damn thing works"

The Secret Service guy was also in State & Main correct? He's also a director in his own right IIRC
Favorite scene was Bartlett talking to the teachers, great stuff, I so wish we could have a president that sounded that genuine/smart
