You are incorrect. In Episode 4 (Season 1), Tony has Vin Makazian (John Heard) run a background check on Melfi for him. Makazian find out that she:

Lives in Essex Fells
Has a 19 year old son
Sees a shrink once a week
AND is divorced

Also in this episode, Makazian pulls over Melfi and a date returning from dinner. He accuses the date of drunk and resisting arrest then assaults and arrests him. He tells Melfi to drive the date's car home and says, "You got prime rib at home. Don't be going out for hamburgers."

So she is DEFINITELY divorced from the start of the show. They do occassionally have dinner "at home" together and with the son... and he was definitely around a bit in season 3 after Melfi got raped, but I don't ever think they were "back together".

The first four episodes were floating around on the net as of August.

After Melfi's rape, her husband came to live with her for a short time. They were 'together' for that period of time, but now they've split up again.

Actually, having just watched Season 3 again in the last couple of weeks, I'm pretty sure they were having a trial reconciliation prior to the attack. I think Melfi was talking to her therapist about it in one of the earlier episodes, and in Employee of the Month they are shown having dinner and, I believe, getting ready for bed, prior to the attack.

I think ur right. They also had another episode where they showed the two in bed and that was after the attack.

Can someone, one and for all, tell me what Melfi's husband said as he watched the news coverage of the parade on her TV? I've seen the episode five times now, and I still can't make out what he says.

He says (paraphrased) that it's so tragic it should be scored with Albinoni's 'Adagio.'

Yes, they did. Did you see Adrianna's "cat who ate the canary" look at the gym when Carmella was talking about people who are two-faced?

That look spoke a 1000 words. She is freaking out.
